Once replaced, Match thread wear on the rear or it may pull under power and off throttle.

I am told by the place which does mine that it is repairable only by a special approved technique, can't remember the name. I've had two new tyres with similar damage repaired there over the years with no problem. Certainly not by normal tyre shops. :y

It's the rear passenger side tyre, It had around 5mm left.  :-\

Might have guessed by the tread pattern it's the Goodyear F1 Asym2, What i'll probably do is just replace this with one new one for now see how it goes, Hopefully it behaves as I really didn't budget for new tyres for another year or so!

At least the tyre let go completely over night at home and not on some busy road.

Had 1 repaired with similar damage before by our local industrial tyre place. It was sent away and repair carried out as nearly new with almost 8mm tread.

Used it without problems until it got replaced due to being fully worn so your call but can be repaired. From memory cost £25 against £100+ for new tyre.

Picked up this evil little b*****d the other day >:(

Just my luck its not repairable according to 3 garages.

That's repairable, any decent truck/agricultural tyre fitter would probably do it.
Ream hole, put some glue on the plug tang, clean case, put glue on, draw plug thro, roller, snip tang job jobbed. Perfectly safe.

I think we need a thread of picture of this wedge, inside and out  :y :y

Recall the interior was very 1970's space like, touch sensitive buttons ect and the budget for the gadgets was more than the entire cars budget.  :)

Absolutely diddley beside drive it to & from Reading. Tomorrow I need to finish the service on the 645 (the service 'kit' only came with one pollen filter .. which was handy as the car has two) and sort the insurance out for them all.

Take note of that advice Jay - if you think it makes sense  :-\

It does make sense... I pulled the screw out earlier it was about an inch an a half long, I did actually have to get a screwdriver to screw it out was so tight hard to imagine how it got into the perfect position naturally to penetrate the tyre in the way it did  :-\, Would have preferred the puncture on the front was planning on changing them in a few months. Sod's law.

Needs identifying where the leak is. Could be anywhere. Uv glasses and a lamp required if it had die in it.

But condenser is favourite culprit usually. Car cooling link on here somewhere if so. (Link in parts iirc)

Yeah got their details. It's not sounding right either, almost metalic whistling sound from centre vents. Which can be made to sound normal, putting to lo and back again. Climate reset still the same
