Just watched Big Blue's new owner drive her away.
Ending many years of Omega ownership.
They've been good, pity they stopped making them.
-
Sad times
still some low mile, not so rusty ;D Omegas out there .
It's about this time last year I brought my first Omega....
after 18 years driving Vauxhall Carltons :'(

True, there are some very nice ones still out there, but the boys from N.I are taking them back over to the Emerald Isle never to been seen again :'( I've just seen a 1994 one on for three grand and a very nice one at that,so yes definitely there's still a few good ones to be found :y

Still wished I'd have kept AK 51 ONV wonder where she is now, best car for under £2000 I've ever owned.

Big Blue was a nice example. I remember it when Bob Dent owned it. Must be nearly 10 years ago !
-
Yes. We’ve had it the last 6 1/2 years but the time has come.
Every owner from new has been on here...a definite forum car
Paul lovejoy. Big rod. Bob.dent. Jimbob/ljay

Owned it from 2010 to 2015 & maintained it regardless of cost , now probably going to the scrappy 😧

LOL, so the admin mob here, only 2 of us now have an Omega ;D.
Not that I ever get to use mine, Mrs TB always uses it.
-
Was a bit surreal watching it drive off with its old drive mate! The red car and the blue car back together again!

I had forgotten about Paul Lovejoy being the first owner. He told me about it when he paid a visit and we had a cuppa in our back garden one sunny day.
Not long after that he was gone. Poor fella. :(
That car must have more OOF history than any other Omega.

Just had a read of that thread and came over all nostalgic. Quite a few names from what is now the distant past. :(

We often wonder about Cem too.

We often wonder about Cem too.
I believe Cem and Richie Rich stayed on arsebook for a while after, but Den just disappeared. I hope nothing nasty befell him.

Yes, remained in touch with both of them for some time, but Cem disabled his account in the end, given the troubles in the area we do worry.
Den's health was poor from memory, so fear the worst there to be honest.

I think the captain and the gnome parked them better ;D ;D ;D ;D

Ah if I'd seen a for sale post, I might have jumped on Big Blue, if the photo above is any indicator of condition.. Since she's been passed around like the village bike, I guess I'll just wait for next time? ;D
