Central Locking Control Unit 2003 3.2 Omega Estate
« on: 23 February 2024, 15:22:43 »

Hi all,
Please can anyone advise where this unit is located, as i feel this may be the problem.
I have looked in the drivers footwell behind the fuse box area and cant see anything obvious.
I have an odd fault developed and when I open the drivers door it locks all the other 3 doors.
Sometimes when you lock the car the interior light does not go off.
Any advice much appreciated.

hi. usually central locking faults seem to be connected to the actuator solenoid in the door. this has microswitches which can go faulty. easiest way is to replace the unit with a new or known good one  .or strip yours and replace the little microswitches.  good time to also lubricate the lock mechanism whilst your in there and check it isnt seized or getting stiff or the central cam isnt falling off its shaft !

But to answer your question, the Central Locking or Alarm module (depending on spec) is located in right side front kick panel, behind the large audio connector.

They don't usually go wrong, and are difficult to repair due to pub varnish.  If you swap it out, you need the matching remote fobs and ideally the donor cars security code (so you can program new keys)
