When mine got damaged on the Big Black Pussy, 2nd hand were £800 and new were around £2k :o

So repaired with Chinky Takeaway containers and Sikaflex until I can acquire one at a sensible price....    ....and that was 3 or 4 years ago, and still unable to obtain one for a sensible price!
Been quoted almost from dealers almost £450. [/highlight]they changed them from 2018 . I can find lots of pre 19,s .

For a Shitreon, that sounds almost reasonable.  ;D

If my memory of my brother-in-laws three MK2 2.8 Granada Ghia X’s is correct (he had two X’s and one X Executive), the standard Ghia X had flat leather (or cloth) and the X Executive had puffed up leather. The Executive seat looked like it had an additional topper and looked like someone had bolted a three piece suite in to the car and I always thought that it looked a bit overdone.
Each to their own though.  :y

This clip shows what I mean regarding the original Executive Connelly Leather seats. Oh, and his zorst could do with being a big bigger as well.  ::)  Turn the sound down as the reviewer gets on your tit.  ;D :y  Nice restoration otherwise though.  :y

I had the same boot spoiler. It was ok until water got into the cracks in the foam and expanded when it froze in winter.  ;D

Relatively inexpensive insurance quotes above.

Being an old bastard can be a good thing at times. :)

Can't wait until I'm 34 and can get cheap insurance!  :y                                                      ;D
After you reach a 'certain age', they hammer you again.

By the time I get to that stage they'll probably be routinely euthanising people of a 'certain age' so I won't have to worry about my car insurance.  :-\  ::)  ;D
Are you moving to Canada then :-\

No but our shiny new progressive Labour Govt will bring it in, and by the time I get to a certain age they'll be offering euthanasia as a cure for the common cold or anything that makes you a mild inconvenience.  :)

In the film Logan's run the cut of point for 'termination' was 30 years. Although you did get the chance to bone Jenny Agutter first if luck was on your side. :)

She looked pretty good in 'Walkabout' too.

If you have time, get yourself some good TiN coated drill bits. Far tougher that ordinary HSS bits.

Must be a day for MOT passes - a pass on the Petrol Blue 3.2 Elite with clean bill of health and no advisories. In fact it created a lot of admiration from the other mechanics during its test.. :y
Congratulations on the MOT pass  :)

It's quite often a stranger says ...
"not seen one of them in a while"  ""great car, I used to have one" etc

I hope they are not too disappointed when I don't praise their common as muck, so Shiny ,Eurh!tbox  :D
If they're decent mechanics they'll know that they're exactly that.  ;D

One thing that is mandatory ,yet I doubt ever gets tested .....
"speedometer is working correctly and gives an accurate reading"
obviously speedos are NEVER tested on AUDIs, Golf GTIs (or golfs pretending to be GTI, with Ebay badges,) etc   :-\

A few years back ... maybe 10/13 ??? ..... I presented an Astra G for test with a none working speedo/odometer.
The car passed without comment! (eventually  ::) )
Going back quite a number of years now, the tester at the little village garage i used
always got me to stay in the car when he hoisted it up. He got me to press peddles and wriggle the steering wheel about a bit.  :D  Doubt we allowed near the test bay now are we?  :-\
