Many thanks your data. Will certainly try this minimalist piece of engineering!!! Altho i find oven heating very effective i will certainly try fiddling next time!!!!
I had not realised the two axes were different or that a ball bearing could be used.{think 6mm is too big but easy checked before making}
Thanks again guys very much appreciated.

As no one has offered any help to my request in "Electrical " under "Headlamp adjusters" I assume it is a problem unsolved since the demise of the aluminium mod.There are no new spares so check out used.
First recd was scruffy [ex plod??] adjuster was shattered 3 pieces plus dust Evostuck to get dimensions and tried to hand fabricate the moulding!!!!! In parallel had ordered another lamp from Lithuania on a promise it was in good condition.It also had a fractured adjuster!!! Thanks to the pioneers who told us how to separate lens from body I got stuck in to both units.The second unit had only a simple fracture with two parts.I am cementing together at present and plan on reinforcing next.
We must avoid mot failure for this minor item and I apea :-[l to any members with an ally adjuster to give us the dimensions so we can keep our miggys rolling

Had one for a while. LOved it ,hated it!! Recammed it but 3 bearing crank meant i darent rev it!!

Half shafts were splinned but no matter how the were lubed thy would still lock up under load on a bend and then release so you were a yard away from line :-*

Omega General Help / Oil in water!!!!!!!
« on: 20 December 2015, 19:55:31 »
3.2 MV6 2003 auto 70k miles. In spring this year had custard in header tank,changed st steel oil cooler for a new st steel one.For a couple of months burped up a bit more emulsion then ran clear.Decided to give her a treat in time for winter so,flushed [stat left in],filled with tap water and rad flush,ran for few miles ,flushed,filled with pink concen and denatured water.Ran for 150 miles and header tank had a 5mil topping of sump oil.Changed oil no coolant present,header contents in clear bottle showed oil on top confirming prior observation.Have run for a couple of miles and seems to be continuing.Possible serious failure of new cooler??? Limited head gasket failure from oil lie to coolant gallery??? Usual practice advises bypass of cooler but this seems difficult with the rigid pipes used.
Any advice will be valued as 2G for repair of head gasket is not poss. :-[
