General Discussion Area / Dunkirk: I eat my words!
« on: 02 June 2010, 20:21:14 »

There is a brilliant 1 hour programme on "Dunkirk" on BBC2 at I think 11.30-12-30pm. I chanced on it last night flicking through the channels. I believe it is on until the end of the week at the same time. Based on eyewitness and personal experiences it is both brutal and touching in the portayal of those very brave men. HEROES EVERY ONE OF THEM.

I have been flicking through the telly progs this evening and I would have thought at least there would be a programme about Dunkirk! I found one and it only lasted a half hour (BB bloody C). The rest of the channel programmes including TG were about Africa!! WTF?? Are we going to be brainwashed in the future about Africa and their ways??. Before anybody replys about me not ever being in Africa, I have worked all over the continent since 1993.  8-)

General Discussion Area / WTF Ahmed Nassir!!
« on: 18 May 2010, 22:52:49 »
Just been watching the news this evening and find that Nassir has been granted the right to stay in this country after being recognised (by the highest court in the land!!) as an "Alquaeda" operative. He states and his fellow operative that they will be tortured if they go back to Pakistan. Hence the outcome. What bullshit. I was in Pakistan about 5 years ago in a place called "Multan" and, believe me it was me that was being tortured. No beer  ::) no xes  :-X no nothing. maybe that is why they do not want to go back after being in the best country in the world.  :y :y

General Discussion Area / Another Rant!
« on: 10 May 2010, 19:31:14 »
I find it unbelievable that this country given the dire straits we are in, the politicians are still arguing who won what and where ffs! Lets get on with the job and get this once wonderful country out of the shitemire! It seems to me that all they are doing is how much they can get out of the whole mess and how much they can make out of it in the future. Rant over (for now!)  :y

After my rant about the BPC on an earlier topic I have another issue on the BBC. After all we all pay for the priviledge.
In the news etc etc.. Why do the newsreaders/presenters add an "r" to a word or noun? For example "Fionar" Bruce, "Moirar" Stewart, I "sawr" it.. what is that? ffs?
Oh! and you will be wondering about Julia Bradbury. When she was on one of her wanderings, she claimed she was staying in a tent overnight wherever. In actual fact she was sometimes coptered out to a very nice hotel. I was in a particular hotel when she was eh..supposedly under canvas! Nice one!  :y

General Discussion Area / The BPC!
« on: 08 April 2010, 19:02:11 »
I was talking to a friend the other day who has worked for the BBC. He tells me that when going for an interview you have to go before a "PC Board" !! whereby they ask you your political and racist persuasions before actually going for the actual interview for the job you have applied for. This interview (and the deductions made from it) in turn has a huge impact on the selection for the post. I have always regarded the BBC as impartial to whatever they are reporting on. I am now of the thinking that this is just not so. You only have to observe who is in the cameras eye to realise that. This however has only surfaced since this government has been in power. Power to the BPC!

Here I am in the middle of the Nigerian jungle trying to earn some beer tokens! My Omega 3000 miles away in Scotland. We are not allowed out from the camp here in Warri to taste the delights of the Nigerian countryside.  ::)   The only wildlife visible is the bush meat hanging up on the side of the road. If anyone wants photos of the said countryside! :-X please do not hesitate to ask. Can't wait to get back to civilisation on the 15th December.
