 Turned up to a pre booked car show only to find that the American car club that had its show cancelled the day before due to water logged ground, arrived before the orgainisers mob handed and tool 70% of the space up. We could not get in along with a great deal many others who had pre booked. Just hope it does not put those off who could not get in today from attending future events at the venue

Oh. And Euro Crap Parts. They have also pissed me off. I ordered some brake discs and pads this afternoon. Went to collect them. Arrived at the store at 16:02. "Sorry, mate, we closed at 4, can't serve you till Monday". Fick off, I've done a 60 mile round trip so I can have these today 

I get it's not the spotty yoof's fault, I suppose the tills automatically shut down / are cashed up at 1600 on the dot. But it's still bloody annoying. Almost as annoying as a 4pm closing time (on a weekend, which is when most people want to fix their cars).....

I hear that poor old Sadiq Khan is suffering PTSD because of the death threats he's been getting. If he was to piss off over to Ukraine, (other conflicts are available) he might find out what PTSD is really like. Must be hell being mayor of London.

Got my Karcher K4 out to clean the patios at our Hacienda.

It is leaking from the body while operating. Looked out the guarantee and it is three days out of guarantee. Did a search and seems to be a common problem.

Maintained and stored as per instructions. Really irritating . Decided to press on regardless and annual job done. So about £90 a year assuming it is scrap.

Or …. I either try and get it repaired or have a go myself.  Anyone else encountered similar problem?

How much did you pay for it? The one I bought last week was £209...

Should be able to get spares for it easily enough

Might be something simple like a seal or O ring gone, so well worth stripping down before you take it to the tip.

If you can find the problem, Karcher have always been very good at supplying spares in my experience. On my K4 the pressure wouldn’t build up so I found the problem, a valve, but didn’t know what the precise name was. Customer service emailed me an exploded view of the K4 so that I could correctly identify the part.    I’ve since replaced the capacitor on both my K4 and my K6.91. Worth having a go yourself as they are a piece of piss to take apart.

Just to add to this, the screws that hold the front cover on my K4 are T15 screwdriver or torx bit and are fitted through the rear. The T15 screws that hold the front cover on my K6.91 are fitted through the front and are deeply recessed so you have to use a T15 screwdriver as a ‘bit’ won’t fit in the screw hole. Not relevant in your case but other Karcher models may require the screwdriver so worth others bearing in mind before they attempt dismantling.

I'd imagine that once you take the covers off and power it up, it will be obvious where the leak is.
