I find Merc service parts to be the same price, if not cheaper, than the local factors.  :-\

Credit where it's due that the XE has lasted so well. Although I can't believe that it's really that long now :o
I found BMW to get very reasonable on most service parts as well.  Probably more so than MB.

Jaguar parts are quite expensive, the identical LR part is usually very, very reasonable, but JLR are now trying to align all the part numbers and prices.  You can bet the price alignment won't be to LR prices though!

Fortunately, because parts are frequently common across the 2 marques, and LR has a bit DIY following, pattern parts are pretty cheap :y

Sadly, rear light clusters fitted to the XJ were never fitted on any LR ;D

My Mondeo has the same engine as the Freelander and I've found that the LR fuel filters are much cheaper than Ford. Exactly the same part.

I only go to Jag forums to lob the odd granade in about doing my own oil changes with 20l drums of noname oil bought online then watch the fallout. ;D
I've softened the UK one up to start doing their own changes, and FFS, not to leave the oil in for 21k in a diesel ;D
I don't think mine is in more than 21 WEEKS  :D

(1969) Classic British crime caper with Michael Caine from when Minis were small. Can a gang of Brits only blow the doors off and get the gold? Scenes & humour of the era that may offend.
On Film 4. FFS what offends in that film apart from MC {dont thow these spears at me}. Maybe it is the amount of gold they nicked!! FFS!  :-\ :-\ ::)

My favourite film.  And if any middle class Oxford do-gooder feels its offensive, they can opps off and watch something else, like celebrity tits out.

The Italian Job is harmless entertainment for the entire family.

A great British actor Michael Caine and a truly great film, my favourite though is the Long Good Friday with Bob Hoskins a real loss to the film industry when he passed.

I kept rewinding to the beginning of the film because I thought the music was great

Pissed off tonight as went over to the storage unit, got twenty odd bits out that had been requested. Got home and had forgotten to check the other V6 cam belt kit I have to see if the one Countrywoman bought has the lower idler pulley missing. Damn. Also forgot another bit but less important. Another 30 mile round trip to check later this week

All I remember about a Long Good Friday is Bob Hoskins continually saying "You Fukcers" all the way through.

So when he did those British Telecom ads, I always imagined him saying "It's good to talk, you fukcers"

Long good friday was on one of the obscure channels on the tellybox a couple of nights ago.
A saw it donkeys years ago, but watched it again, and it was as good as I remembered it to be.

Helen Mirren in it as well, she's not that attractive but she certainly had something back then.

A very young Pierce Brosnan at the end of the film.
