Also, breather was completely blocked...cleaning the brather hoses, plastic breather on intake, throttle body, and crankcase ventilation canister...the instant fuel consumption in idle ,reduced from 2.1 liter per hour to 1.4 liter per hour with much more stable idle...

Superb, thanks for coming back with the cure for the fault, it will help others :y

So mostly the plugs were knackered, but also a vac leak?

Yes,vacuum leak where small pipe connects to brake booster and sends vacuum to multirams, inside heating controls,etc...
Broken small hose on crankcase ventilation,etc...i will check one more time all vacuum connections... still getting lambda sensor errors regarding exhaust leak....i will sort it out these days and report back...

Sorted the plugs, they looked like they have 100 000 miles,no visible electrode...fixed the leaks in vacuum system...i must still sort the exhaust leak though...i will put downpipes from 3.0 liter and weld the first oxygen sensors before rear cats,so the error is not triggered....

Now i get on ,cruising between 80mph and 100mph, fully loaded trunk ,full fuel tank ,2 persons and 235 45 17 tyres...25mpg on average which i find pretty ok...

Omega General Help / Omega 3.2 P0130 P0150 fault codes triggered
« on: 07 February 2025, 18:10:10 »
My ecu throw up recently codes P0130 - P0150... i checked and they are connected to the oxygen sensors that are running near the precats so my questions are as follows:

1.
I hear a rumbling noise on startup ,and when accelerating it seems that comes arround manifolds - possibly a manifold to downpipe gasket failure, could this trigger the sensors error?

2. If Yes to 1st question, could it be reason that i am getting a 22 MPG fuel economy on a perfectly straight road doing 80mph,or this sounds like normal consumption... 3.2 estate with auto box...

3. I tried to find on forum, but did not suceed,if anyone has put 3.0 downpipes that have no pre cats, how the car reacted, and what to do with 2 oxygen sensors then, will they trigger the error,or do i need to switch them off in some mapping session or whatever?

Thanks in advance

Omega General Help / Need advice on purchasing 3.2 Estate auto
« on: 17 December 2024, 03:47:39 »
Hi guys!

I am about to see one Omega this weekend, finally i found one that i like,it is good equipped, rear seat heating, sunroof, trailer hitch,etc...

It is 3.2 estate with auto gearbox and the mileage is 156 000 ...

What should i look for, especially regarding auto box? Are they reliable items? Engine mileage ?

-cambelt is changed recently
-although i am driving v6 items for 10 years now(on front wheel drive  >:D )all my v6s have been low mileage ones, and never gave me problems regarding mechanical issues...so my concern is about this 156 000 miles...

Any other quirks i should look for? Thanks

Solved! I got a PS ecu (3liter 94 or early 95) without immobilizer and now car revs and drives ok.I have some another little gimmicks ,but is a discussion for another topic.

8
I think ecu is fried,as engine management light flickers with rpm,as you increase rpm it is flickering slower....for me is very hard to obtain something to swap and try because people rarely drive these cars here...i sourced my ecu from germany and loom also, but loom looks so good and perfect to be problematic... i am running out of options... i think i will keep x30xe intake and return c25xe ECU and loom, because car is not driveable at all...the multirams will need to wait little bit while i source known good working ecu

9
Newer type of sensor...Bosch...new...put it on the car still same...cut outs randomly under acceleration...only left option is Siemens type of sensor...

If someone can check for me,because i have no software, what throws out as option:

VIN of the car from which ecu is:

W0L0VBF35Y1130989

Year was 2000

10
No,because you cannot start it on c25xe loom...throttle position sensor reads opposite direction on omega(throttle moves in different direction,etc)... i have fully swapped it for x30xe management with facelift loom and facelift ecu, only sensors remained the same(i uncliped spade connectors and properly replaced with few square plugs that i needed)...now i am looking for info which crank sensor i need, siemens or bosch from topic above(link)

Hi folks!

I recently put x30xe management on my Y32SE...
Before that it had c25xe management and i bought week ago original GM Bosch metal crank sensor with square plug,as stated it fits omega 2.5 V6 94' ,all calibras 2.5 V6,vectra B 2.5 v6...everything worked good until i put 3.0 loom and management

Now with x30xe management i have fault 19.I suposse the ECU doesent like the old metal bosch sensor.
It is facelift 3.0 ECU with letter coding AF.
I need help from experienced owners to confirm me that i dont need Siemens type of sensor,if we reffer to this topic...

Omega General Help / Re: Y32SE normal operating temperature...
« on: 03 August 2021, 07:03:08 »
It is in a calibra, hoses have medium pressure, they are not so hard, but not so soft either,2.5 engine didnt had these problems...

One thing is not clear for me,the pump is all metal, what could possibly go wrong? Thanks :)

Omega General Help / Y32SE normal operating temperature...
« on: 03 August 2021, 01:05:06 »
Hi! My y32se stays at 95 degrees when driving open road at 40-60 mph...when i go uphill it reaches 100-102...when driving 30ish mph it rises to 97 with fan working to keep it back to 95...outside air temperature is 30 degrees...how is your experience in certain conditions, very curious

Hi! As question stated, what could cause running without oil cooler for a short term? (Blocking of both holes on the sides of oil filter(there would be no circulation between them)

Thanks.
