General Car Chat / Re: Buzzing from headlining/rear window

Sounds like a window motor under stress, and applying pressure to the glass is like putting your finger in the way of the glass going up and it stops the motr lifing the glass.

Is a Pint in your local?
I havent been in a Pub for years so totally out of date.![Undecided :-\](http://images.omegaowners.com/forum/smf2000/Smileys/oofstd/undecided.gif)
But speaking to a mate who spent last week in Ireland Golfing mentioned a Pint cost 8 Euros. So I asked what a Pint costs locally and he said our area was about a fiver.
Then on the News this morning it was mentioned that 80 pubs have been closed each month and 239 have been closed or demolished in the 1st 1/4 of this year.

General Discussion Area / Re: What has P*ssed you off today?
« on: 15 June 2024, 18:45:55 »Mr Skrunts, are those items Amazon or Marketplace?
Completely different rules apply to marketplace, and the fact you've been asked to send pictures makes me think it is. Which also means Amazon ain't gonna refund £40 difference between 2 Marketplace sellers - that's your punishment for stupidity
Amazon.
I looked for a cheaoer price when ordering but only thw 120/140cm desks were chweaper.
Been caught out before but allways check. and as often mentioned the prices constantly change.

« on: 15 June 2024, 16:02:20 »You could be right, I bought a 4'x2' desk on wheels, same pattern top & that was a single piece, but on looking at similar 160cm desks (different brands but obviously looking at the pics they are made in the same factory) just one pic in the extra details showed the top in 4 pieces, but I just cant tell that from looking at the pics. Now ring Amazon and tell them, despite it being the wrong size, you've decided to keep it anyway
But thankyou. I believe you are right.![]()
Might do, was thinking of asking for a £40 refund to price match.

« on: 15 June 2024, 15:56:56 »Post up the Amazon link for it.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BN186HJF?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
Also found it £40 cheaper since I ordered.
![Sad :(](http://images.omegaowners.com/forum/smf2000/Smileys/oofstd/sad.gif)
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0D4YJX2XP/ref=sw_img_1?smid=A11BPY0WX1T5YM&th=1
Go down this lising and there is a pic of all the items suppplied in the package.

Amazon ![Angry >:(](http://images.omegaowners.com/forum/smf2000/Smileys/oofstd/angry.gif)
Ordered a desk for myself, comes flat pack & self asembly.
160cm wide.
Item arrived but the box is only 82cm long (Half of which was expected)
Tried to get through to amazon and thier robot receptionist took over and really pi**ed me off.
Now have to send it back, get a refund and start the order all over.
DPD did not help either, thier app said the driver was on delivery 94 and mine was 98. Just got to the loo for a quick pee and the door flew open, not even a knockl on the door.
Now I have to take multiple pictures and sent them for them to start a refund.
NOT HAPPY.

General Car Chat / Re: Budget Tyres
« on: 07 June 2024, 11:04:56 »
Only ever had one pair of remoulds, in the 80's i had a viva estate as a shop runabout, and when winter approached (was a bad one) I bought a pair of mud & snow tyres and had them fitted in BMW steel wheels. Nice block tread pattern, could drive through any of the snow that fell (upwards of over 8" in places) Some of the best fun ever driving a car, even with puny HP output. Also fun just digging it in the mud and watching the mud flumes off the tyres. The old days.
