we have (mostly) signal blockers in prisons..

It's not that easy to block mobile signals. Especially as our prisons tend to be in built-up areas so any jamming would affect punters outside (and mobile phone companies' profits. >:(). Don 'y ask me how I know. :-X

for them not to manage their jobs..however they still find ways for communication.. :-/

I don't see why they need electricity. Give them a tamper proof light in each cell, controlled by the man in the office, a bed and a bucket, of course. Where are they going to charge their mobile up then? They are there to have a hard time, after all, IMHO.

Isn't feasible over here, some bright spark decided to put police & prison radios on the same frequency band in the name of "security"  ;D ;D ;D

I have one question. Why does anyone in prison have access to the internet at all ?  :-?
http://news.uk.msn.com/uk/articles.aspx?cp-documen
Mobile phones are rife in prison and have been for years, and as pretty much all phones now have net access - that's how the inmates get access to the internet.

When my lad got out last time his first words were "Lends £250 dad. I've got orders for 25 £10 mobiles. Get £100 each for them"
When I asked how he intended getting them in, he just laughed and said "Easy"

Thought he was only 10   ::)
