Now the Dyson. Again.

Discovered the problem, but for a bit of fun, any guesses as to:

a) why it stopped working (it appeared dead)
b) root cause (actual, not just "designed by an imbecille, and manufactured by someone even more stupid")

Internally Fractured mains lead or on/off switch - usual

Internally Fractured mains lead or on/off switch - usual
Strangely enough, this one is on its original switch, 17(?) years old as a guess. One of the few original parts ;D

I can assume that it's not you that's breaking it ......  'hoovering' must be a pink job  ::)  ::)  ::)

a. took the fuse out to use in something else
b. forgot you (someone  ::) ) took the fuse out for something else

The problem is....................Dysons are shite. ;D
Funky looking things,but not much good at actually sucking up stuff from the floor. :)

I agree that they're not bolted together that well, but I think they vacuum pretty well ....... certainly better that a bagged 'hoover'

Nope. try a Sebo. Don't look very funky but far superior to Dyson in every department. ;)

Nor had I until mother presented me with a £250 bill for the one that she bought to replace the Electrolux cylinder that I broke. Apparently it wasn't designed to hoover the car with :-\
