What's A Boy To Do?

My missis has given me her Omega estate to play with.  :y
 
Bit rusty on doors, few mechanical issues, but it's got every option apart from satnav.
It's had it's day and she's fed up chucking money at it, so she's after a Honda HRV and hoping to get one on Saturday.

So, what do I do with the Elite?

Truck it or track it?

Or both - baby Malloo type thing? :D

Do it up half decent and sell it, keep another Miggy on the road. Whens the MOT etc run out?

Sod it - it's cost the missis a lot of money in the 5 years she's had it, and all it does is break down.
It's chugging like an old tugboat tonight, yet this morning it seemed to start and run alot better than it had for a long time.

Simply put, we've had enough of it, so I'm doing the truck. When the body is done, another engine will get fitted and perhaps a manual box too.

Really can't be spending more and more money on it - its only worth £1500 tops! Spent that on it since summer!!!

Of course, you're more than welcome to fix it and tell me what the problem was.................

I think it sounds like a great plan.
I haven't seen much done with facelifts...either just scrapped for parts or kept on the road, be nice to see it when done, and keep us updated with photo's of the project  :y

V8, v8, v8 v8 ,v8! Yes, yes yes. Love the Maloo. You can get a chevy v8 for around £400 with an easy 300bhp to get you started!

Well, she's bought the HR-V, and it's quite a nice car. Not my cup of China, but she likes it and that's fine by me.

Started a thread of parts for sale...........

V8 - yeah, that's a nice plan, but what about emissions?
I'll stick to the V6 as it's already there (just needs some attention!) and maybe go manual.
