General Discussion Area / Well this is new.
« on: 11 March 2013, 11:02:23 »
Had a restless nights sleep. My arm kept bothering me by hurting/aching. Get up this morning to find I seem to have grown half an egg on my forearm over night. Now I broke this arm 6 years ago and had to have it plated on both bones. My new found egg half is right on one of the screws. It bloody hurts if you touch it. This is bad timing I'm meant to be having my foot operated on tomorrow. Bollix.  >:(

General Car Chat / What's my chances....
« on: 07 March 2013, 22:29:21 »
On finding an Irmscher body kit for my FL saloon? Was it a popular kit to have fitted when they were new? Or are they as rare as hen's teeth? If I'm going to keep the old cruiser I might as well spice her up a little.

Car Parts, bits For Sale & Wanted / MV6 FL wheels and tyres
« on: 24 February 2013, 20:30:03 »
Nearly time for new boots on the car. Before I go out and buy 4 new boots I thought I'd see what was available on here. Got me thinking how I'd like a set of facelift MV6 wheels. So if anybody has a set with good boots and known branded tyres give us a shout. Cheng shin ditch finders need not apply.  :P

General Car Chat / Wife says to me.....
« on: 03 February 2013, 22:59:36 »
We've had a bit of a pants time with pets just lately. Friday one of the wife's Donkeys had to be put down. Next Friday a horse which lives with the donkeys is being put down. So the missus is getting in a flap. George the remaining donkey is going to go out of his mind on his own. So a family meeting is held and it's decided to get my little girl a Pony. The wife hatches a plan and my part in it? "we'll need a tow car for the horse box, must be good in the fields etc" "ok" says I. I'll look into it. So we need a economical 4 wheel drive vehicle which is cheap in every way. So I go out and buy an old 3.9 V8 Discovery!!! Well it's got LPG on it and was cheap. Got a bit of tin worm but it's already fitted with a towbar etc etc etc. Wife looks at me as if I'm mad. I say " guess this is a bad time to tell you I also brought nipper a Yamaha PW80 field bike?" She took that pretty well :-X. So the moral of the story is. If you know somebody who has petrol coursing through his veins don't give him free range with the family cash when it comes to transport. Now just got to sort a horse trailer.

Need urgently (no car without) It's the one with the 180 degree small bore pipe fitted to it. Just to be clear it's the solenoid with the wires not the actual butterfly valve

Before I suffer evil bay has anybody got one? I want to drill the LPG jets prior to removing the old one.
