Hi,

Thanks for your response.
Guess I am not having a good day Tunnie! - Didn't keep the old cats!

Now need to find a man to try your (RobG) suggestion.

I will let you know what happens,
Many Thanks.
Hope you didn`t throw them, worth around £70 each scrap
Didn't think the 2.6/3.2 ones were worth anywhere near as much as the earlier V6 ones?

stuk50 - those cat efficiency codes (0420 and 0430) happen when the starting cats start to fail, common on 3.2.

The 3.2 (and 2.6) has 4 cats, and 4 O2 sensors, 2 each per bank:

Engine  ---  Sensor1  --- Start Cat (Precat) --- Sensor2 --- Main Cat --- exhaust

The solution is to move the 2nd sensor (on each bank) back behind the Main Cat:

Engine --- Sensor1 --- Start Cat --- Main Cat --- Sensor2 --- exhaust

About £15 for the required plugs and bosses, and find someone who can weld.

Please help. 1999 2 litre manual 16v. Recently changed cam sensor to cure stalling, though no EML light on. Yesterday did test run, all OK. Last night put car in garage, EML light on. Checked codes with paper clip, says 10 10 10 10 34 10 10 10 10 34. Simtech list does not list 34. Any ideas?

You`re still getting cam sensor fault (0340) did you use a genuine one from VX
