I think that you may have the loom for the DC022 which has a  different plug from DC012 (Round not square)

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Code for Philips SC804
« on: 03 November 2008, 09:13:38 »
I bought a replacement on e-bay but there is no passcode with it
Does anyone know how I can set about unlocking it or finding out the passcode?

I have a standard projector (from a company called Amber) on the off-side
It's a lot brighter than the original type but the main beam aims a lot lower than the Hella lamp on the offside
I am unsure how to remedy this as adjusters are set to aim the dipped beam correctly
Any suggestions?

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Tow bar wiring plug
« on: 14 July 2007, 10:12:14 »
I am going to fit a tow bar to my 96 TD Estate
The parts that I have been quoted as needed by local VX Agent are:
90566983 (Tow Bar)
93165099 (Single Socket + Wiring loom)
93165103 (Control Unit)
My question is what is the 'Control Unit'? Is it a relay of some sort, if so where is it fitted etc.
Any other advise on fitting?

But when you clean it use proper switch cleaner which you can get from Maplin
Do not use WD 40!!

If you have a sunroof & it's not the scuttle, it will be blocked drainage pipes that run from the corners

Omega General Help / Re: MAF Sensor on a TD??

What year is your TD?

Early 2.5TD don't have a MAF, only a MAP sensor which is near the passenger suspension turret and is a small black cube about 1" on each side with one electrical connection and one vacuum connection - see here for a picture.

Later 2.5TDs had a MAF and a MAP - the MAF is located in the air pipe on the outlet side of the air filter box. You can't miss it, it's a big square thing in the ribbed pipe with an electrical connection. I think the MAF came in around '97/8?[/quote]
My old October 1996 Traktor had a MAF on the airbox

Could always go to a music shop and ask them if they have any old Nylon guitar strings that they have changed on someone guitar and ask if you could have them instead of chucking them.

Then just gets some long wooden dowelling, drill hole in the middle, thread the nylon guitar string through each one (have a length of about 30cms) and then with a bit of time and patience’s?.
May need another pair of hands to gently pull up on the spoiler as your working your way along the spoiler, but not so as to distort the spoiler itself.  :y

I thought they used coiled wire, all my friends did.

Makes good model railway brake pipes! :y
Suggest use a steel Guitar B string (mine are 0.012" diameter) not nylon. Its a plain steel string not wound which are used on GDA& low E strings. The top E string at 0.010" which is also plain steel would probably be too weak

With no water pump, I wouldn't drive it more than a few hundred yards. I would say feet not yards given how my Traktor behaved when the waterpump bearing collapsed! That BMW engine isn't very resilient when cooked.
