Welcome to the site Road_Rescue :)

Shame you're not coming over to Santa Pod.

Are you local to the area?

I work in MK, live in Brackley, so not a million miles from you...

Replacing your 2.5 cams with ones from 3.0l take it towards 200bhp...

You've probably already read that to do v6 cambelt, a locking/timing kit is essential. The DVD available for £3 from Robin Hood is very, very useful too ;)

I really would consider doing it yourself, that way you know its right.  Don;t be fooled thinking garages and dealers would do it properly. Many garages won't have a locking/timing kits and will just throw it one (GM v6 is rare in that the cams have adjustable timing), and its fairly common for dealers to put it on a tooth out...

Its the tensioners that fail, not belt, so these should be done. Also, I would do waterpump at same time.

Honestly, its one of the simpler jobs ;)

Don't believe me? Get the Cambelt DVD from Robin Hood and see for yourself :y

Or try & organise a cambelt party like I had at mine a couple of weeks ago (albeit mini).
You may be able to get a couple of knowledgeable people to drop by.
Let's face it; if I can do it with some help; anyone can  ;)
