BG, ive got no problem with 'enhancements'. I mean using a pump took my Python from 18mm on the flop to 24mm. You can't argue with results  ;D

Fixed ;) ;)

Indeed, he is to young to know what inches are, so simply got carried away, uninformed...... :D :D

Indeed, another sad loss, RIP George............... :( :(

General Car Chat / Re: Thank You Kingswood Honda

Nice one :y

Begs one question though...

What else did your usual dealer not do when you a)purchased the car and b)subsequently had it in for the MoT/service :-\

Possibly not updated software, perhaps more..... :-\ As the car has full Honda History, even in my ownership, and last service was end April / early May I was 'advised' to visit my servicing dealer on my return to the UK - Does make you wonder......

Ignore that...just seen your post in gen car chat. glad you got it sorted easily and for free!  :y

General Car Chat / Thank You Kingswood Honda
« on: 05 August 2015, 20:57:30 »
On holiday on the Isle of Man and the Engine Management Light came on, into limp mode and I stopped. Restarted and was no longer in 'limp mode' but light still on..........:(

Having had a 'Eureka moment' I discovered that Honda dealers are in the Sat Nav, and yes their was one on the Island...........;)

We called into Kingswood Honda and they asked us to leave it with them for investigation, we were both thinking DPF at this point, phone number left we went for lunch at a nearby museum.

After about an hour I received a call to say that all was well, and that they would explain when we went to collect the car.

They explained that they had put the car onto the diagnostic system and a number of codes came up, and a recommendation for some 'software updates' not a diagnosis as such but everything seems fine, all re-set etc.

I asked how much I owed them and they simply said 'Enjoy your holiday on the Island' Now that is great service indeed, thank you again!!!

But it is an Omega accessory, just don't tell them that it will fit other cars......... ;) ;) :D

General Car Chat / Re: New sockets. Really not pleased

You could let them peel and pretend you have impacts.  ;)

Seriously, I would send them with a stiffly worded complaint, sock-et to 'em  :D

Absolutely, send them back. You do have to be careful about what you do buy over the internet, maybe tools is not a good idea, you cannot tell from a picture the quality of an item............. ;)

Friggin EML light has come on, whilst climbing out of Ramsey heading South........ :-X :-X

Stopped, switched off and on again, light still on, no codes showing - some do, but not in limp mode. Whilst in Douglas, sitting in the car waiting for swmbo and miss vamps to get some bathing suits, I found myself playing with the 'sat nav' found a Honda Garage in 0.6 miles, fitters gone but calling in tomorrow for a code reading, and hopefully it getting sorted......... ::) ::)

Sorry, posted in wrong section..............

Didn't expect a inquest  ::)
May be should have

My take on it is the push bike rider is a shit stirring pompous idiot who deserved a slap just for his attitude  :-X
As for the car driver, lets just say his swan dive at the end made my ribs hurt I laughed so much  ;D ;D ;D

On OOF? You Pissed? what do you expect on here?............... :D :D

General Discussion Area / Re: driving lessons is this a good plan?
« on: 03 August 2015, 23:51:47 »
That may be a local thing to you, not aware of any DI around here that do it, though guess there must be. Why bother? I taught Master Vamps clutch control and then all the basics, before he went off and had a few lessons with a DI. I think it is the basics that are needed first, which we did, as we did with Big Master Vamps!!! My thoughts have always been, give them the basics, which cost the most to get, and then let a qualified DI finish the off; having 2 kids with first time passes, suggests that my approach is correct............. :y :y

Partly, it's what we wanted to do last year, they can do their thing and we can do ours, rented a 2 bedroom apartment, within spitting distance of her friend............ :y :y
