Today, in a panic dash to Milton Keynes to pick up a load of hardware that had been couriered to the office, and that I'll need at a different site next week, completely forgot that the Battlebus was shod with budget tyres.  I'd lost the rear before entering the roundabout, and just got less pretty from then on  :-[.  Fortunately nothing else about, and avoided all kerbs.

Note to self. Black, round and road legal is NOT enough. Ever.

Watched the contents of my coolant tank pissing out of the hbv.  ::)

Selecting warm air setting got me home thankfully. Good job it wasn't really really hot yesterday.  ::)  Makes a change, the previous hbv's have failed in the warm setting mode, when it's been cold outside.  ::)

Got the 3.2 out of the garage for the first time since I bought the Mondeo, and gave it a blow out for 30 odd miles. I still love driving this car. :y

Re- assembled the complete rear suspension. Not easy on the ground without a lifter. But not impossible... :)

Forgot to mention, this incident also brought on the EML :o

CBA to read the codes though, despite being intrigued...

Fitted a new hbv. Strangely, although I bought it from Eden Vauxhall, there were no markings/part number on it.  :-\

My Roebuck mole grips have an adjusting bolt that a multi point socket fits on to perfectly. Open the grips to fit the pipe clip, clamp the grips up, put the socket on the end and tighten the grips and slide clamp off.
I find using this method makes fitting the hbv an absolute pleasure to do.  ::)

Glad you enjoy it because, by the sound of the one you bought, you'll be doing it again shortly  :)

Thanks Doc Gollum

My Caravan is not a beauty, but I like him. Over the summer I will stabilize the condition of the complete frame. Tuev in September should be no problem.

My thoughts exactly, judging by other members findings.  :-\
