Leeds is quite a big city
« on: 23 November 2023, 16:53:06 »

One of the largest in the UK. Population is around 530,000, about 200,000 less than the amount of immigrants to this country last year. How is that sustainable?

Ok, an extra Bristol's worth of people who the NHS and Housing authorities need to cater for.

It's just total madness, completely unsustainable but it won't stop because the powers that be are too soft & they're are too many
"do gooders" who think that these people have rights . A complete drain on our economy, they find our way of life offensive but not our benefits system.

The Tories have no problem with an unlimited number of people arriving in the country. That is the long and short of it.

The Labour party are the same.

I remember the BBC interviewing one of the Leave team who promoted with a straight face that Brexit would stop illegal immigration,

And the stupid interviewer never even bothered to question the stupidity of that statement ;D

How do they know how many have left?  :-\

It's not like you have to notify anyone if you emigrate?

Well that isn’t true. Certainly in Europe you have to register , no more swallows using health service of the country they happen to be in and of no fixed abode.

If you pay tax it is best to register with the new country you have moved too otherwise you probably end up paying too much and end up with problems when you dispose of assets.

The process is well documented.

Ah yes didn't think about that. I suppose they count the people who have become non residents for tax purposes with HMRC.  :-\
