Spare Connector
« on: 13 June 2020, 20:25:49 »

I have put my 3.0L engine in again, but have a 2 pin connector that I can find where it goes? It is on the o/s lower engine bay by the red rad drain tap. In the loom that goes to the rad temp sender. It’s 2 round pins, but can’t find an empty connector. I have photos but can seam to attach them, some help what it is for would be useful

Isn't the radiator red drain plug on the nearside (n/s)? Is that where you mean?

Might be to the fan. Before I move my 2.5 above the pit, please advise if it's driver's side or passenger side, and if male or female (pins or sockets). Also advise length of lead.

Sorry about not replying have be in hospital for 2 weeks. It is on the n/s not o/s as I put. It is by the thermostat connector on the rad. The 2 wires are about 6” long and both black, the 2 pins are female. And it is just in front of the A/C compressor.
Any help would be great, I will have to get someone to finish for me.

Glad you're home again. All I could see thereabouts are the two horns and a pump, see pic above.

Pic above shows the radiator drain tap and the bose emerging from the pump. If there is a lead off a horn a honk will reveal it. I am not sure what the pump does, someone will tell you.

That's the Secondary Air Injection pump. Spare plug in question comes from the radiator loom inside the engine bay ;)
