Alarm issue
« on: 13 February 2007, 10:41:33 »

Can anyone tell me what the causes are of the alarm remote becoming unsynced with the car.

Just lately I have to resync my car atleast 2-3 times a week for some unknown reason.

One minute it works the next I have no chance and it beginning to get very annoying.

The remote I am using has had a recent new battery but could this be the cause although the red and green lights do work.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Loose battery connection in fob (or dry joint etc) causing the batt to disconnect, hence lose its memory of where in its rolling code it is?

Well I am currently using my spare as the buttons on the other were becoming inoperable, but even the other was beginning to do the same.

Looks like I need to get my spare remotes sorted sooner rather than later.

Last night took the P*ss as I was in asda parked up locked the car and went back for whatever reason and it would not unlock from fob then some nosy nobody came over to me and tried to accuse me of trying to steal my own car cos the alarm had gone off, soon showed her the key and told her to go away, the misses at this point was ;D.

I must admit the battery cover is held in place by black duck tape so could be the battery is loose or the connector inside hasn't got a very good contact :-/
