A news reporter from New York has just described Joe Biden as "the democratic front runner". If that's the case, Donald can look forward to another four years......at least. The democratic offerings for the election seem to consist of small time politicians with an axe to grind, apart from Joe Biden, of course.
I'm not saying Donald for another four years would be a bad thing, I'm just disappointed that the democrats don't seem to have anyone to challenge him, which you would think would be quite easy given his the way he divides opinion.

Mmmm after 4 years of the terrible Donald, you'd think that the Yanks would swing hard left and go for Bernie Sanders! :)
I say hard left in the context of American politics mind, as I expect Bernie Sanders would view Corbyn as a proper commie! ;D

Before the US elections there are bigger things to worry about, like the growing political conflict between the US and Iran.
If what has been on the news today about the bombing of two oil tankers by, it is strongly suggested by the US, Iran sponsored terrorists, then Trump will, strangely, be the man to face that down. He is unpredictable enough, but strong enough, to do what a US President should do if the United States of America is threatened, as it is in effect being from Iran. Weak USA Presidents are not required now! ;)

It never ceases to amaze me Lizzie, the level of affection you seem to hold for Trump.

I know, I once detested him. But he has grown on me as a man that is not a usual American politician, but is out to do business and not take fools gladly. Strangely, very strangely, fate may have made him the man to be President at this time to fend off very serious threats to our way of life in the West, that, we know, one day will change as that is the way of life; power and the centre of the Universe is already moving to the East.
AS Roosevelt was fated to be the strong President in 1939 and backed Britain, ready for full commitment on 7th December 1941, we may be ready to see fate played out with Trump, especially given the very dangerous political situation with Iran. He could be that strong leader known in history to come. ;)
History will be the judge though as always. ;)

But as we all know Lizzie history is written by the winners.

Trump is just what that country needed. And he has done a pretty decent job, unlike the morons before him.

I see he tweeted yesterday about how much he enjoyed meeting the Prince of Whales. ;D ;D

I've always been kinda indifferent about Trump, largely because I've never believed that he would do anything much to affect my life and mostly because I've refused to join in with the general hysteria about the guy. ::)
However, I find him generally quite amusing, so if he gets another term and he carries on thus, it's no bad thing TBH. :)

That is exactly been my thoughts Sir Tigger :y
From thinking he was not my kind of guy, I have turned right round and think actually, once you push the fake news away, he is ok and could well prove the perfect American President for these unstable times. He is a force, not like the peanut farmer Carter, and so very different with his approach. He does not take fools gladly and that in particular think is a good thing when dealing with politicians :D ;)

See he has had another go at Sajid Javid this morning, he really doesn,t like him does he. ;D Sorry, meant Sadiq Khan. DOH

I have always disliked the man but I do respect the office which the wife does understand even if it draws a little ire from her from time to time. She is a full-on democrat in a family of Midwestern Neo-Conservative Republicans which makes for a lot of banter around politics at the best of times and a lot of friction when politics heats up. At Thanksgiving last year we both went out to Wisconsin and I wore a T-Shirt which read:
Make America Great Britain Again!
Which everyone loved. Some of my wife's uncles have asked me to get them one! ;D
About a year after the last US Election a predicted that, against my wishes, Trump would win a second term. 'Banter Biden' or 'Socialist Sanders' will win the Democrat ticket, Uncle Joe is too old and Sanders causes an almost volcanic reaction with everyone right of centre and many of those in the middle as well. Everyone knows you win elections in the centre and all the polling suggests neither appeal to the swing vote even those who are disallusioned with Trump.
I dislike most of Trump's policies and those that I agree with in some way could be achieved in a much more effective way than his bull in a China shop method which alientates the USA on the world stage. If I was to be a voter in the next US election I am not sure which way I would go.

That t-shirt slogan is great! 8) 8) :y
It reminds me of a feeling that my father had back in the day, well I think it was during the 1970's in particular, and I supported it, that Great Britain should become the 51st State of the USA.
At the time I certainly believed we could no better, and as our standing in the World was at it's lowest at the time, and we relied on America to uphold our democracy which it had really done since c.1940.
Now America is in slow decline, although I hope for all our sakes the American financial empire can be kept going by Trump - he IS the man to do it - I want Britain to be great so......................perhaps..................that slogan is spot on!! 8) 8) 8) :y :y ;D ;D

I think we should take back the colonies. :y

I'm sure both the US and India would be willing to let us rule over them again. :)
