I made a conscious decision to look at newer cars on my travels this morning and there are lots of them out there. Different shades of grey from off white to thunderstorm sky.

A quarter of all cars sold in 2020 was grey, apparently.  :-\ It might look trendy for a while but I'd get fed up with it pretty quickly.

In the 1950's/60's about half of all cars sold in the UK were grey although the whippersnappers who decide what is cool in 2021 probably don't know this.

I always remember being picked up from school in a grey Austin A30/35 with a giant indicator switch set in the centre of a grey metal dash.

Awful colour , still their choice but why ?

Some may think it's an awful colour (and it's not my choice),  but a very low mileage 7 year old Audi RS4 in Nardo Grey (Primer colour) sold at auction on Tuesday for £12,400 over the Industry recognised CAP trade figure....
So the Audi dealership that bought it must think that they can sell it even with their mark up..

In the very early 60's my parents owned a Wolseley 1500 (quite posh in its day) which was grey with an ivory lower half from the chrome trims down. I thought (and still do) that combination suited the lines of the car.

No accounting for taste... Or lack thereof.

Nearly new 'prestige' stuff is at a premium currently. Apparently TCV caused a couple of production plants to 'work from home'...  ::)
