Beko are great machines worked on many during my time, very easy to fix unlike miele/bosch etc just to name a couple,
having been in the trade for some 30 plus years imo the more basic the better the less there is to go wrong,

Yep had one of these last year for overstaying my welcome in the local morrisons store,
The only advise i will give is ignore it unless it has been issued by the police or local authority it wont go to
court they cant take a car to court only the driver,The letters will get a bit harder but just put them in the bin

General Discussion Area / Re: pet insurance?
« on: 19 December 2011, 15:57:39 »
My staffie is coming up to nine now and i don't pay insurance as when she was two she was diagnosed with bad rear leg joints and will soon need a major op so i couldn't get her insured. well seven years later no ops she walks fine and has never seen the vet since.
So i leave it to chance having saved on seven years insurance, The reason for being two when i took her to the vets is i wanted her checking over as i had just got her from the sbt rescue and may i say we have had seven great years with her so far what a loyal and loving friend she is.

General Car Chat / Re: Mondeo 3 zetec engine noise !!!!
« on: 07 December 2011, 19:24:04 »
Its a tap when ticking over and its nowhere near as bad when you build the revs up doesnt sound like a chain rattle, if anything it sounds like a pully bearing rattle/tap thats why i took the auxillary belt of as i ave heard the belt tensioners go a lot,
But no thats ok

General Car Chat / Mondeo 3 zetec engine noise !!!!
« on: 07 December 2011, 18:11:32 »
has anyone got any ideas waiting for the right mig to come up after the d/driver wrecked mine i have a mondeo 3 zetec 1.8 with the duratec engine,Its not a bad car but its developed a cam sort of tapping ?? Its ok when you first start up from cold very quiet but when it warm its starting to sound like a quiet diesel,
I have taken the auxillary belt of and tried and its still there so thats the pulleys water pump etc out of the question.
If you stop it for 15 mins then start up its quiet but soon taps again i have changed the oil done an engine flush and put the correct grade of oil back in it.The car has done 90k genuine milage so its not had a hard life.
if anyone can help with just an idea please as to start spending money on cams or engine rebuilds just puts a mig back even further.

I agree have been in contact with DAVEDND on here when i needed help and he is a top bloke, i would be very wary about gm dealer as at that age may not be the orig stereo and that means £25 down the tube.
