yeh its 17 years old!! been well looked after. i'm wanting a set of wheels 4 it if any1 knows 4 any they're bmw ones at the min with a conversion plate ;D ;D :D :D

i saw this on PistonHeads gor for £5000... if it wernt for that price tag i may have been interested... but IN MY OPINION i thought that was well too steep, LET or not

The question technical aspect is interesting to me - whether there were alterations on car body? input/exhaust?
What gear box?
How have achieved 280 horsepowers against stock 204?

I know only that c20let is constructed on base c20ne, and that c20ne was put on Omega regularly. I wish to make the similar project "from Russia with love"

i would love to do a LET conversion on mine... but LET's aint cheap which is a shame :(

It is the truth, what LET it is possible to make from XEV? Experts say that blocks are almost identical, except for an oil supply bore on the turbine

its an original omega gear box just had to make the thrust bearing up, i made the exhaust up from a cavalier turbo its got internal work to the engine, its chipped its a straight forward conversion.

thanks m8 the springs are from germany my mate got them 4 me it sits alot lower on the rear now eats tires need a de camber kit 4 it lol alot of fun 2 drive pulls like a train. wanting 2 fit a bigger turbo but i need a manifold made :D :D :D :D :y

Looks awesome - always fancied doing this for a track car, stip as much weight as possible and add either a c20let or z20let. Reckon it could be good fun especially as its driving the correct wheels 8-)

it is alot of fun as mine got a lsd so it do does what you want it to do, they are a big car 4 the track. get a let motor in it and have fun it will put a :D on your face :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

How have achieved 280 horsepowers against stock 204?
Easily, off the shelf chips from EDS (phase kits) or Vmax (evo kits) will get you to 300bhp. Beyond 300 needs some more expensive parts.
700+ bhp is achievable :D

HI there proper fit omega like the 2.0 turbo lump, is that the engine from a astra gsi or what would love to do something similar as my friend breaks vx's currently has 6 face lifts and 1 pre in for chop, Kack

its a c20let engine. found in astras and calibras now in my omega lol, its a good conversion as its a real good power gain. so easy to get good bhp :y :y

how did you wire it in using the astra loom and plug it into the sockets at the battery, or use a 2,0 loom from an omega, cheers Kack

used the c2let loom and ecu will get it on paper and pm you :y

yeah it is a 2,0 c20let engine with few bits done 2 it and its got a phase 2 chip. would take alot of work 2 turbo a v6 engine. can get a let engine up 2 500bhp plus with some work. :y :y

Really like the original wheels in the picture with BMW converters, Think they will really suit mine, as it's the same colour!!

iv just bought some new wheels off bob if i like the look of them once iv fitted them i will be selling my others. i will let you no as soon as iv tried my new wheels on my car. :y :y

realy nice conversion bud....good strong engines!a mod i know works is putting a stantard c20xe inlet cam in place of let inlet and by using a set of vernia pullys, advance it by 5degrees (double check the amount) :y works every time! :y

iv got an xe cam 2 go in just need 2 get vernia pullys so i can fit it :y

Can i ask what back bumper have you got on is it off a face lift ???? and does your estate have the box's on the left and right in the boot over the wheel arch's.

Where is the intercooler? Under the bumper? Transferred to the washer tank glass? Can be more photos? I seriously wonder about the construction of such a car based on my Omega.

The intercooler sits behind the front bumper. air filter is down in right side of the bumper. you can get alot more power out of a let engine if you got the cash 2 throw at it. wot pics would you like?? :y :y :y

As far as I can remember standing behind the bumper tank washer system. Tolerate it? I need photos of the intercooler, its place of installation, fixture, and if tolerated by the washer tank - then what? What intercooler was used?

it was a 2.0 16v ecotec its using the standard gearbox. the turbo is in the same place as your mates it just sits close 2 the abs pump. when i get the funds im gonna put a bigger turbo on it. i just need a manifold made 2 bring it up by the top of the engine. :y :y

no not at the mo. no the bulk head has not been cut. keep meaning 2 take pics of all the engine bay so then it will answer a few questions that has been asked about it. :y

so is it a c20let or is it x20xev conversion? reason i ask is that you mentioned "it was a 2.0 16v ecotec" but title says c20let? :-?

the old engine was a 2.0 eco tec its now got a c2olet in it. 0.60 never timed it but it pulls like a train. top speed my mate has had it off the clock at 140 mpg is shit but its so much fun 2 drive. had it on show at castle combe total vauxhall live. was a good day out. :y :y

Your iron is amazing :y though don't you ever have a bit fearness about different parts are coupled ? One piece from here one from there is it right then ? ??? My previous car was a Calibra and I was never so brave to think about modifying her but when the time of change was arriving for a stronger one sold her and bought a Mig. Not simplier to buy a bigger engine than to kill a lot of work, time, money and so on into the project the car to be modifyed? Or am I not enough crazy? ::) ;D ;D ;D

missis likes focus rs green but iv not got the space 2 strip it 2 nothing so its gonna be standard colour with face lift front end and a irmscher front bumper. just need 2 get my hands on 1 lol :y :y :y :y

Just taken the omega for a blast after being park't up for over a year. It never fails to start most of all puts a big smile on my face. Trade plates do come in handy lol :y :y :y

There was a nice chap in York, PedroMV6 iirc, who was doing a sterling job on a green estate... believe family commitments meant the project was canned before it was finished... shame as that project had real potential :-\
