I haven't driven on a main road for over a week now, but very few folk around when we walked the dog this morning.
Wife was caught in a queue this morning, at a notoriously busy roundabout called Stairfoot. This was 6:50am.

I've noticed that the areas i drive used to be busy at 8 to 9.15 am and 5 to 6.30 pm but quiet in-between .
now there seems to be a lot more traffic about than pre covid days between peak times
i guess lack of faith in public transport (covid risk) is partly responsible  :-\
and people visiting castles  ;D

I wasn’t allowed to say anything until today, but it's now okay for me to share that I have volunteered for the Covid-19 vaccine trials that a local Hospital are running in partnership with Pfizer. It's important that we all do our part to beat this virus.
The vaccine is the one that has been developed in Russia. I received my first dose this morning 06:20 am, and I wanted to let you all know that it’s completely safe, with иo side effects whatsoeveя, and that I feelshκι я чувю себя немного стрно и я думю, что вытл осные уши. чувству себя немго страо.

Yeah, Baz, but the horses and carts that used it when you were a lad were pretty slow moving anyway.  :)

So why dont the local riding centres round here come and clean up what they leave on the estate roads?  Thank christ I dont ride bikes any more  >:(

I also note that dog owners have to carry inside out carrier bags, but horse owners seem to be allowed to let their dogfood shit anywhere and everywhere.

There are nappies available, but I've never seen one in use

It was a huge cost 120 years ago. One of the reasons that trams gained popularity so quickly was they reduced the massive amount of horse shit in urban areas. Cars and vans were a similar boon.

It seems to have gone quiet on the vaccination front while the world waits for vaccines to actually be approved before mass immunisation commences.

The Chinese are pushing for a QR based international travel system. Healthy and vaccinated you can travel. Not so healthy, not vaccinated? That will go down like a lead balloon with human rights groups!

The conundrum of how to get the doubters vaccinated still hasnt been solved. You can rest assured various scenarios will be being modelled. No doubt they have accepted some will never be vaccinated with a “DNA changing drug”under any circumstances.
