....might be subject to lots of small disconnections,, as I need to mess around with the network, which involves unplugging stuff and many a router restart. Any outages are liable to be less than 5 mins, but there will be *lots* of them I suspect.

That's it for today, need to do more tomorrow... ...as the planned temporary replacement router for the utterly thrashed and shagged one kept locking up and watchdog restarting as soon as WAN1's PPPoE session came up. 'dangle berries'.

Suspect config rather than h/w, but I wouldn't expect a config error to crash the damn thing!

Router h/w will be swapped out over the weekend, and no doubt the config I have put on the replacement will have typos and other cockups.

That's it for another few days.

The outage was a bit longer than expected, as there was a config error, and it was routing the return packets back out of the wrong ISP, and took me ages to work out why - I thought I'd got the cables round the wrong way, LOL.

In 2 or 3 weeks, I'll need another outage to sort out the spaghetti of cables, but that will likely wait until the new server hardware is ready

I was shocked ,DPD managed to deliver a TV when they said they would

new TV to use as a monitor because the 13 year old LG used 160 watts ,TV 32 watts
whilst I'm all for making the planet warmer

financially the POS TV made sense

Ah so its a Taiwanese (probably made in China) Compal then (as Toshibe stopped making TVs in 2015 and licenses the brand to them)
