Scottish overnighter weekend
« on: 13 July 2009, 00:18:14 »

Just a suggestion, seeing as its the holiday season....

How about a wee meet somewheres different such as this?

http://www.fife.gov.uk/atoz/index.cfm?fuseaction=facility.display&facid=F34F9DCE-399D-4C02-97A10D6AC5118C4C

OK, its not repair friendly, not great if it decides to chuck it down, but it is nice, free, and with a nearby plastic distraction for other halves, particularly if they play golf?

And, surprise surprise, theres loads of camping/B&B/hotels in the area?

Will make a poll for the summer hols to see if ters enough interest on dates.  Otherwise, its yet another jockula omegas meet that crashes and burns........

hey ho...   :-[

If its in the school holls it would be great to come.
is it poss. to do a meet closer to the borders? there might be more people able to get there as its not to far then. just a thought.

True...

Post up a possible venue and I will make the thread into a poll.

If anyone else wants to suggest a venue, within reasonable travelling distance of those who care to respond, then no doubt we may (eventually) settle on a possible venue.....   :-?

may.....   ;D

Yep thats true I.ve been north of the wall a couple of times but not with my mig, I had a 44 t Scania artic.

just thought that kielder is roughly on the border that others from the south could also get there as its then not that far to drive and its a very nice area. was just a thought.

Ps never try to deliver with an artic in edinburgh city center, its a bloody nightmare.

Yeah, book me a provisional place Broocie, dunno what I'll be in though, froggy diseasel or the jap hearse.

When are we thinking?

Kielder would be cool, not been there since I was 17 and driving CGD360S :y along the forest stages.

What a car and amazing roads. 8-)

Otterburn too.

Anyway, thats another story.

The Kingdom is good too, not done any rallying up there though. Wouldn't mind a trip to Mercury Motorsport too.

I'm up for it depending when, as need to have trip up the road anyway to catch up with the family, so that location is ideal for me :y......
