Omega General Help / dash assembly method
« on: 16 July 2010, 08:59:25 »
does anyone know how the factory went about fitting the dash when it built Omegas ?

I have a hunch that the entire dash and front bulkhead was assembled line-side and offered up to the car when complete and glued in place.

as a newbie to get a "wanted" advert posted.

I'm sure that someone on here will have the 3.0 con-rod that I desperately need......

"Wanted - Con-rod for 3.0 V6. Will travel, remove bottom end considered if necessary"

Car Parts, bits For Sale & Wanted / WANTED 3.0 V6 con-rod
« on: 01 March 2010, 12:04:16 »
as in the title, I need a single 3.0 con-rod to replace a faulty one in an otherwise-ok engine.

would consider a complete bottom end if I had to.

would also come and remove it myself if necessary.

pm please ? anyone ?

General Car Chat / what a tool !
« on: 09 September 2011, 08:27:30 »
bought a plasma cutter the other week - what a great piece of kit that is. It'll cut 12mm steel and do it in such a cool manner that you can use paper templates without burning them.

I cut two holes in the parcel shelf of my MV6 last night for the BOSE speakers - didn't even need to cover the carpet or the seats up. Just zapped around a paint tin lid

General Car Chat / need some Irmscher adwice....
« on: 11 January 2011, 10:58:10 »
I'll have an ex-Police Omega coming up for sale soon - I'm wanting to know if it's worth taking the Irmscher bits off it and selling them separately or not

car is an S-plate mini-facelift MV6 in white (!) and has an Irmscher stainless exhaust, tailgate spoiler and side strips on it. Other than that it's in good condition, drives really well, has newly-rebuilt engine and everything works, even the aircon.

so - what am I likely to get for it with and without the Irmscher stuff - and are they worth selling separately.

Please note that it's absolutely not for sale yet - as I have a transmission oil seal to attend to.

it's a VX, so that's the model after mine, and automatic, but appears in good condition from the photos at least.

crap description, tho.
