Title: TC-light and error code C0260
Post by: polilara on 03 November 2013, 15:21:41
Hello all

When starting in the morning and reversing from garage the TC+another (spanner) light comes on. With reader I found in TC&ABS section the code C0260. When engine is stoppped and started again the spanner light is on a couple of seconds and the dissappears. After that everything is OK. Next morning it happens again.

I checked also the gearbox and engine codes and found P0705 and P1700. Perhaps they are just side effect of thr root case. Do anyone know the meaning of this C0260 code.

Check large "rounded" plugs just behind battery are all tightly connected. ;)

Thanks for comment dbug. I check this and come back.
Just a bit more info: When error mode is on the car behaves like one wheel were sliding - when I press the accelerator pedal the TC-system tries really to restrict the torque - Acceleration is very low. When all lights are of car behaves normally.

All cables are well connected but I found something new:

When I touch the automatic gear selector in P position all the lights or leds PRND21 goes on. During that the P0705 error code can be found from gear box. When I move the clear selector slightly so that only the P led is on the error code P0705 dissappears from the gear box. When i move the selector again so that all the leds are on the code can be found again.

Perhaps I have a problem in the selector. Quite logical as the problem happens when I reverese I mean when I move the selector from P to R.

Do you think that this sounds expensive? What this could be. Please help.
