When my front ABS sensor failed the only way to sort it was a second-hand "hub" with the abs sensor in place.... it seems almost impossible to remove the sensor without destroying it.

Ideally it needs to be from the same year/engine/gearbox combo.

AIUI there are 3(4) types:

1. Basic ABS. Pre facelift V6 and all other models/years
2. ABS with basic TC. Mid facelift 2.5/3.0
3. ABS with advanced TC. Facelift 2.6/3.2.
(4. ABS with ESP. Euroland Facelift V6 option.)

The mechanical part almost never fails, it's just the ecu part that needs changing/repairing :y
