It was more about not getting all bent out of shape over BS headlines from a terrible excuse of journalism.

Noticed in my web new feed there's an everywhere increasing amount of clickbaity headlines about 'tenfold' cat tax increases for drivers of petrol and diesel cars...

The reality?

If you drive a car over 76g/km and are currently paying £10 A YEAR, there's a good chance it will rise to £110.

Sure, in percentage terms that's a hefty increase, but the reality is that it's the price of two coffees a month. If you can't afford two coffees a month, the reality is that you already don't own a car.

The other increase is for more expensive EVs so I really wouldn't worry too much about it.

Electric cars have been forced on motorists as the medium term future, but I dont see how they can be the long term future.
I would like one as a commute car, as I could charge it at work for free, but they are too expensive.
And the free charging will soon go when demand forces the prices up.

How much does a dual motor unit weigh?

Likewise the battery pack?*

Box and Torque converter on the proper car is 64kg. Diff is probably 30kg. Engine is 160kg. So 254kg for the drive train.
Another 100kg for the fuel system including the fuel.

*610kg, so that's a bust ;D

In the interest of fairness, The proper car weighs 1,900kgs and has a real use range of 400 miles.

The £25k price difference buys a significant amount of fuel. About 4,111 gallons in fact.

Captain Underpants said that she will be Chancellor for a very long time.

I give her until the end of February.

Aka coolant reservoir I would presume, which was probably swimming in oil from the failed oil cooler.
Surely that was removed and cleaned ??? Not doing so would be pretty half arsed.

You might get away with dropping the sump seeing as it's in a Vectra, but the piston has to come out of the top.

Could you do it? Probably.

Should you? No.

And what if you don't find anything? Do you strip the rest of the block? At that point why only do one. And do you then replace the crank bearings? Upgrade everything?

And if you're going to totally rebuild the engine you would be insane to try to do it in the car... On the kitchen table or living room floor would be questionable at best.

What header tank ???

You might find that list is for 24/25.

25/26 are a separate item but the biggest changes are for relatively new vehicles.

He would require one in the first place to be able to recognise one.

If Reeves gets sacked whilst in China, perhaps they will keep her.

If they're getting weak, the cold highlights it.

Some 3in1 on the clips a day or so before can help free them up along with a slim, flat screwdriver. Obviously try not to stab your, the windscreen or bodywork as you do them and change one side at a time.

Talking about the proper car
I thought you had a post 1990s Merc?
Credit where it's due, for an 18 year old car, there's no rust underneath it which is nice :y

Will give it a month to make sure it's happy then the Bini will be going.
