Well Insignificant went for MOT and passed, no advisories,,  :y

The fault code " service Vehicle soon" was read,,  It's 2 glow plugs, and yes the chuffing expensive pressure sensor type, after lots of looking on line,Cheapest were £175, each they are also £185 from GM who don't have any, so lots of phone calls to people who might have them, same replies "can't get them,on back back order"  so nipped into local Bennet's in Hoof'land,
"Yeah got them, genuine GM £139 each"
I'll have 2, so I'm £334 poorer, fitted before tea was ready to drink, code gone :y

for a monthly wash
Surely you mean annual?

Twice a year seems about right.

Washed the M240i last week. First time since June or July.

It might be tempting to sip the 'illegals' a fiver to wash the car both inside and out but the gritty sponge approach puts me off.

This every time

I just put my ML through the IMO car wash every now & then through the winter months ..... far easier!  :)

I am still looking for a Bikini Car Wash like the one Jimbob used.  Plus in this cold weather I would be happy to pay double and give a good tip. ::) ::) :y

 ;D ;D ;D

I'm sure his Lord'ness Opti could muster a few young Wenches from the estate and organize a topless carwash for Members of the parish  :y

washing with a bucket of soapy water
Can't beat a bucket and sponge, and fairy liquid .  Drives the Jaguar forum polishing brigade mental....

Oh lord, You’ve just brought tears of horror to anyone passionate about cleaning their car properly.  :o  ;D
Why? What's the difference between a plate or a pan and a car? Soapy water does the job. If you want to protect it afterwards, wax it. The car, not the pan  ;D

That’s exactly right, it strips the wax off.  :y

Best way to wash a car before applying the polish,, wash with Fairy Liquid, rinse off with Rainwater, dry with microfiber, then apply polish..

I don't use the Romanian any more after seeing them drop the mitt on the floor and proceeded to was a car...

Most Household pressure washers won't deliver the psi stated due to low tap pressure,, Way to make them efficient is 1000L ibc up as high as possible, filled up connect to pressure washer.

But I have a 50 year old Snap On box that is still perfect and it was used when I got it from the dealer!!!! Top, middle and roll cab with side shelf.

I'd love a strap on box  :D. But even in battered condition they are way more than I'm going to pay these days.

Snap on is Overpriced to allow the dealers to make a living, there's other tools which are just as good for half the price, I have a very mixed tool collection, Even when earning a living with them I didn't buy much Snap-on, My Cabinets are Sealey HD, I've a Snap-on middle which I acquired as payment,
