The sub human piece of scum who was the "father" of the little girl who got beaten by him systematically for years until she died, an then left her body in the house and cleared off to Pakistan.
His fellow prisoners have got to him in jail and inflicted various injuries on him.
Best news Ive heard today. Long may it continue. I hope is life is a living hell on earth for the rest of his days.
Boiling water with sugar mixed in, on a daily basis will do nicely.  :y

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Rear fog lights.
« on: 14 December 2024, 16:35:47 »
They arent working. But telltale light on dash lights up ok. First two things that sprung to mind were a fuse and the wiring at the boot lid which can break down over the years with opening / closing of the boot.
two or three possible fuses, although Im pretty sure F28 is the correct one, but all fuses ok.
Traced the wiring from boot lid back into the car and it connects just above the spare wheel. Seems to be no power getting to the connector.
This is all on the assumption that the live wire is blue black and brown is 0v (earth).
Any ideas / info / knowledge appreciated.

Should have checked all lights a week ago, and then might have fixed the issue and not got an MOT fail. :-[

General Car Chat / Mighty Signum for sale.
« on: 05 November 2024, 10:07:10 »
On another forum I frequent there is a Mighty Signum Elegance for sale. Only covered 96k miles.
It happens to be in Lincolnshire.  ::)
The price ?         £350.
Just thought I would post it up on here as one of our members from that neck of the woods has a bit of a penchant for these highly sought after classics.  :)
Cant post a link as the For Sale section is only viewable by members.

Omega General Help / Auxilliary belt length ?
« on: 12 October 2024, 14:31:55 »
I could have sworn it should be 2020mm ?
Just tried fitting a new (Gates) 2020 belt and no way will it go on. I would guess it needs to be about 20mm longer.  :-\

Edit. It should be a 2020 belt. I suppose I ought to measure it. Although the belt has 2020 written on it, so unlikely to be short ::)
Im certain Im routing it correctly.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Another NCDC topic.
« on: 01 September 2024, 19:44:01 »
My car was originally fitted with a ncdc 2013 / GID.
I replaced it with an NCDC2015 (without telematics) and CID screen.
Its getting a bit tired now and recently wasnt doing much of what it should do.
I pulled it out of the car yesterday, sprayed some contact cleaner  in and around it and blew an airduster around everything.
It surprisingly seems to have improved matters quite a bit but still have some issues.

1. Front panel securing lugs are broken off. Can I just swap the 2015 / 2013 panels over ?
2. Nav / top CD doesnt want to do anything at all. Presumably laser needs replacing. May well swap the one from the 2013.
Is it particularly fiddly / difficult to do ?
3. Four disc changer wasnt ejecting, but since squirting contact cleaner and air round it, it now ejects, but doesnt play CD,s.
Swap the laser from that too ? or swap the whole bottom half of the unit onto the 2015 ?

There may be more questions to come after dismantling.  :D

General Discussion Area / Coincidence ?
« on: 20 August 2024, 10:44:27 »
While the yacht accident seems to have been an "act of God" type weather tragedy, what are the odds of the other fella being knocked down and killed the day before ?  :-\

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Cant resync key.
« on: 25 May 2024, 19:13:30 »
Second key for the Omega. Is rarely used. Last time probably two or three years ago.
Put a new battery in it today. Put key in ignition, turned to position one (also tried with ignition on) pressed lock unlock several times, nothing doing.
Could be battery connections inside key, but as it doesnt get used its hard to see how its got damaged.
Any other possibilities I can check ?

General Car Chat / Frontera 3.2 V6 key / immobiliser issues.
« on: 07 May 2024, 13:33:18 »
Someone on another car forum is badly stuck with this problem. Will post a link to it below, but not sure if it can be read unless your a member and signed into the site.
Im not signing out to try it, because I cant remember my sign in details and might not be able to get back in.  ;D

https://autoshite.com/topic/58472-wanted-vauxhall-frontera-immobiliser-needs-mechanical-work/#comment-3002147

Basically has two keys that need programming in with Tech 2. Has the car pass.
Someone came to do the job while he was out and left a message that whoever had worked on the car before has knackered the immobiliser so new keys cant be programmed in.
Reasonably possible or another case of " a little knowledge is a dangerous thing ? "
