They are really struggling to get any kind of coherent financial policy implemented. Starmer just keeps backing down, for fear of his back benchers, Downing Street plotters and the public in general. I read a phrase yesterday, 'In government but not in power'. Sums it up nicely.

......again. He's going to impose 'tremendous' sanctions on the two largest Russian oil producers. So far, this morning, oil is up 5% and, as there aren't any sanctions yet, he's just added billions to Putins coffers.
Some (most) days, he really has problems working out how the world works.

Here's a cracking idea to keep the pressure on the government. Every night at six o'clock, GB news should have Nigel Farage coming on to a lectern, wishing us all good evening, shuffling a few bits of paper then sternly announcing how many have arrived by boat on that day.
Exactly the same as the nightly covid figures
