It's OK, TB.

The old Jags like your XJ and my XFR are driven by people with hairy swinging balls.
Damn, I thought I was down with the kids, being all modern, woke, and LGBTFNOWSIDNFI

The new cars will probably be driven by men who have an unhealthy interest in boys bottoms. ::)
Clergy?

Copy nothing is an embarrassing slogan for a car that looks like Saab's Aero-X of 20 years ago crashed through venetian blinds.

Although it is less embarrassing than the advert ::)

Didn't Sir William Lyons of old Jag fame say a Jaguar should be 'a copy of nothing' ::)

Very similar almost a copy. 8)

Thing is, Jaguar hope to attract young woke progressives to replace the ' neanderthal old duffers'

Problem is, the cars will start from £100,000+ and generally speaking there are not large numbers of young people who have that kind of money.

Many are still living at home because they can't afford to get on the property ladder......or pay £3000 each month to rent a one room shithole in London. :)

And the advert itself has similarities to the 1984 Apple Macintosh advert, which featured weirdly dressed people and a woman weilding a slegde hammer.  ::)  Jaguar has alienated it's audience now, which could prove a costly mistake. You may have noticed that the leaping Jaguar is coming from the opposite direction on the new emblem, which could imply that he's now batting for the other side.  :)

Rear wheel drive attached to a twin carb fed 1800 lump!  What was not to like for a slightly unhinged 19 year old who couldn't afford a Capri?!  ;D

That actually sounds quite good in isolation.

Sadly it as joined to wheels and suspension from a 17th century 'gallows cart'.. >:D

I expect that the suspension was probably as good as a 14th century gallows cart to be fair, but I didn't used to let little details like that worry me back in the day!   :y

Much like myself. I didn't worry about tax and insurance, or being 3 times over the drink drive limit. I'm a reformed character now though. ::)

You're being generous. The latter didn't require its lower trunnion joints to be replaced every 3 weeks. ::)
