Autobahn lastnight.

took a couple of cars over to a mate in germany lastnight/this morning.

146/7 on the tom tom and the calibrated speedo was the most i got, it was dark and didnt know the straights or bends well enough!

2 cars out = 1300 miles of fuel out my pocket, 2 train fares for the tunnel, 2 flights and 1 lift back! no change from 800 bucks. he paid for it all tho, so i am not gonna grumble!

to start with, going to folkestone, used 1/2 tank and got 200 miles out of oy02 vtl,  but that soon changed once got out the tunnel onto foreign tarmac!

Things go by & come up very quickly at those speeds.
I bet that speed last too long with the amount of fuel you had left ;D
Did you look at the instant consumption? I'd love to know how many gallons to the mile ;D

one tank in holand and germany lasted 140 miles so yeah, about an hour or so

Thats a lot of gas for such a short distance glad you got the money back. how much do they go for over there at the moment as i've been told twice as much.

nah not at all, they are wrong hand drive, i got what i would have got here for them, but had my travel costs covered by him.
the germans and polish do like them lots tho,

he asked me if we still do business if we lose the football to them on sunday, i said i dont see why not, after all, we won the war originaly and are doing business now!
