Got my 5th & final :-\ Annual 'C' Checkup tomorrow at 10am. I feel Humbled & Priviledged to have been given another chance  :y
Still waiting for the test results of my enlargedlymph node in my right groin after it was found I hadn't discovered a magical weightloss regime after all :( I was rather hoping to make one of those weightloss videos in time for crimbo & was going to ask for a lend of Dazzles pink spandex Onesy :D

Omega General Help / Please help! Gearbox problem
« on: 16 June 2014, 19:45:35 »
Hi de hi Oofers :)
My 2002 Desmond estate has lost all forward drive, but I can still engage Reverse :o
The indicator lights on the gearlever console all behave as they should & I don't have either the EML or Emissions telltale showing on the Dash. Plugging in my A.N.Other code reader gave a P0700 (4) Present, and it returned when cleared. I have checked the gearbox fluid level and condition of the ATF & both are ok. Any ideas please? Many thanks, Phil. :y

General Discussion Area / Losing Weight
« on: 31 May 2014, 23:53:44 »
All my adult life i've had trouble keeping keeping my weight steady, basically because i eat what I like, & I like food full stop! ;D
I'm into my fourth year of remission from esophageal Cancer and everything has been going great until the end of February this year???
Since then I have been losing weight, lots of it! & feeling generally shit, without any explanation :o
at the last weigh in this morning, i've lost more than 3 Stones in as many months!
My legs & thighs are beginning to look like pipe cleaners & I can actually see & count my ribs for the first time in 20 years! :o
I have my 5th year checkup in July & was looking forward to the 'All Clear'; and I know I should see my GP, but irrationally I can't bring myself to go ???. Common sense tells me i'm too far down the road to full recovery for it go awry now? Maybe I've stumbled on a fantastic new weight loss regime without realising it ::)
On the plus side, I now have loads of clothes I can wear again after mothballing them when I put the weight on all those years ago, only trouble is none of them are even remotely in fashion! :D
I have to admit to being more than a bit apprehensive but i'm thinking Positive, after all I've just Taxed & Insured the Omega for the next 12 months & the old girl needs looking after in her old age ( the car, not swmbo! ;D)

« on: 06 January 2014, 18:35:10 »
Evening all!  ;D
My son is hoping to swap the xenon headlights from my old dead 2.2 CDX saloon into a 2.2 CD which has non xenons at the moment. Is it a straightforward swap or more involved? Your help/comments as always, will be very gratefully received!
Ta muchly :y

General Discussion Area / Floods
« on: 05 December 2013, 18:07:57 »
My eldest lad & family live on Hartlepool Headland and he is currently stranded in a massive traffic tailback that has crippled the whole town! The Headland is flooded and closed to all traffic and the Pilot Pier 3/4 mile from my lads front door is now totally submerged! My Granddaughter and her mum are stranded at her dance class on the other side of town & neither my lad or me & swmbo can reach them as the town is gridlocked! What is it with this Country these days? We dont seem to be able to handle anything like out of the ordinary weather as we did years ago! Yes, I know there are masses more cars on the roads these days but there appears to be a total lack of advanced planning by the Authorities. It is not as if this tidal surge & weather wasn't expected fgs! >:(

General Discussion Area / MRI Scan
« on: 23 November 2013, 21:37:50 »
I had an MRI Scan today and whilst being questioned on past issues such as had I ever had metal splinters etc, I mentioned the Titanium staples in my new throat & got the all clear and ditto with my wedding ring. Once the scanner was wound up I realised my wedding ring was vibrating and the faster the machine went, the more the gold band responded until I had to physically stop it skipping off my finger! :o
Never had that happen before, and suffice to say i'm glad I removed my butt plug and penis bolt before I left home! ;D ;)
