Omega General Help / Faulty Crank Sensor
« on: 31 July 2013, 18:26:14 »
2.2 Auto Bi Fuel Saloon. Would a faulty Crank Sensor still allow the car to run on LPG ???
Car cranks but refuses to fire on petrol. Fuse 18 (petrol pump fuse) was blown, found petrol pump relay jammed & overheated. Replaced Relay & fuse, no more fuse blowing but still no start. There is fuel at the rail when cranking but I cannot hear the pump priming when the ignition is turned on. I have swapped Dis Pack and Cam Sensor with the ones from the Estate but this has made no difference. As said, the car runs ok on Lpg. Anyone any ideas  ??? :y

General Discussion Area / Gas Fracking
« on: 30 July 2013, 17:11:58 »
So George Osborne's FiL, Lord Howell of Guildford reckons all the Fracking operations in the UK should be 'Done in the NorthEast, where large parts are uninhabited and desolate' ???
Where do these people get their ideas from for goodness sake! If Scum and Dross naturally rise to the top, perhaps it's time we insisted our Political Elite were recruited from the middle of the mix ::)
Oh, and my answer to him is this......Frack orf ;D

After all the recent dreadful news, I thought I would share something I rediscovered in my files the other day. I hope it lightens the mood :y

General Car Chat / Heat Resistant tape
« on: 22 July 2013, 13:51:12 »
Can any of you chaps in the know tell me if this stuff would shield the main Injector wiring loom sufficiently from the heat of the Head/Inlet Manifold?
The plastic cable tray was discarded when the car was Lpg'd and at the moment is wrapped in black cotton amalgamation tape, but i've found that the plastic Stag Lpg loom wiring protector covering is going brittle and breaking into sharp edged sections which are cutting into the wiring insulation ???
Many Thanks for any help :y

Is on it's way apparently! Not that you'd notice, what with constant Media updates & in depth ephemera regarding the ins & outs of childbirth! ::)
My Late Mum God bless her, was out of bed within 20 minutes of the Home birth of all her children and getting on with the daily grind, as were the majority of Working Class Mums back then :y
Best of Luck to Wills, Kate and the Breadsnapper, and I do hope they are allowed some space by the self serving Media Circus :y

I lusted after this beautiful woman as a spotty youf and fantasised about her pouring my gravy many times :-[!
I sincerely hope Linda has a good outcome to this diagnosis and she has my Best Wishes, as has anyone else who finds themselves in trying circumstances.

Omega General Help / Blanking off the EGR Valve
« on: 15 July 2013, 20:31:04 »
Please excuse my ignorance of the subject, but when you blank off the EGR valve, do you fit the blanking plate as a 'sandwich filling' between the valve and head casting, or do you fit the blanking plate in place of the valve and fasten the valve out of the way somewhere, still plugged in electrically (if that makes sense :-\) ???

« on: 07 July 2013, 22:01:01 »
My 4th Year checkup is tomorrow and I'm reasonably blase to feel everything is OK, but my mood is tempered both by my degenerating spinal problems and the recent sad loss of Paul Lovejoy :(
However, life goes on and we must make the best of it! :y
