Actually, she lived near here, and many of the local people and businesses have a different opinion of Cilla than the 'lovely lady' being portrayed by the stars. I have just been looking at comments on swmbo's facebook, and the comments include, 'obnoxious, stuck up, rude 'don't you know who I am'. Evidently threw a wobbly when Bobby was denied membership of the Golf Cup, due to a poor handicap. Got well pissed off when A certain store refused her card. A number of people who did work for her have confirmed those remarks.
Can't comment myself, as I never met her, only once in Gerrards Cross, when she walked out in front of me and I nearly flattened her.

Pretty much what Ricky Tomlinson had to say about her as part of his comedy act, where he once had to work with her and to put it much more politely than Ricky, they didn't get on. ???

Sad for her and her family, where it has happened at such a young age, but personally I never liked her, where to me she always came across with a very false professional niceness on TV.

She was never really my cup of tea, her shows were typical Saturday night bilge.

72 does seem quite young nowadays.

Long time since I have heard of death by natural causes

To be honest, I never wish death on anyone, whether I like them or not.
I did not like her, I could not stand her screechy voice. To me it sounded like finger nails dragging down a blackboard.

Last I read was she fell, hit her head and died of a stroke.. so she could have gone on but fate took it's turn.
