Omega General Help / grooving standard discs????

Would like to know if standard vented discs could have
grooves machined into them as grooved discs are expensive,
obviously I mean done by a engineering company (not with an angle grinder,)
Would it weaken them?

Can anyone recommend a decent abs ecu repair company please, be taking mine off soon, found a company in London called ecu-repairs.com, anyone used them? or seen another called 'bba reman'

Omega General Help / 'F' showing on display??

Hi, 
Recently noticed that an 'F' is coming up on the the screen, its when I have the display showing how many miles of fuel I have left, the 'F' appears (figures dissapear) for a few seconds then its gone and figures come back.
Car runs normal when it happens, so not effecting anything that I can feel.
Car is 2000 facelift, 3.0mv6, auto.
Any ideas please. Thanks

Omega General Help / nitrogen filled tyres

Hi, recently had 4 new tyres (budget) fitted, can't afford high quality 
but I had nitrogen instead of air used and the difference is amazing, ride is better, handling definately improved, used to find car was pulled all over the place because of the wide tyres but now that prob has disappeared , they reckon you don't have to check pressures hardly and if it does need topping up they do it f.o.c, this is from Merityre in Leatherhead, Surrey, very helpful guys there.
Thought some of you might be interested in this??

Here is my lovely 3.0MV6 (auto)owned since 2006, cloth interior, comes fully loaded with ABS, TWIN AIR BAGS, SIDE AIRBAGS, TRACTION CONTROL, A/C, DUAL CLIMATE CONTROL, ELECTRIC HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE FRONT SEATS,HEATED FRONT SEATS, ELECTRIC/HEATED MIRRORS, REMOTE CENTAL LOCKING/IMMOBILIZER, REMOTE BOOT OPENING, MULTI CD CHANGER/RADIO/TAPE, ALL ELECTRIC WINDOWS****EVERYTHING WORKS******
Part service history, new cam belt, belt tensioners done approx 3,000 miles ago (water pump done at same time simply because was accessable, was not leaking!!) new spark plugs fitted Mch 2010, 129,000 lots of old reciepts from previous owner, original dealer pack/manuals in original folder. only 2 previos owners.
Amendments 7/5/10
Stainless steel exhaust (by Longlife exhausts) from cats back, has a transferable life time guarantee, cost almost £500 approx 2yrs ago.
Also forgot to mention ECU has been reconditioned by BBA REMAN last year.
Tax till end May 2010, MOT till 17th Sept 2010

General Car Chat / washer bottle water went jelly!!

Had a weird thing happen to the water in the washer bottle, put in some screen wash, topped up with water, then few hours later at work decided to clear screen and what came out is only best described as jelly,lol.
The screen, roof, bonnet all made the car look like a jelly mould!!!
So disconnected the pipes and flushed out, weird!!!!!!!!!!
