How should one prepare the egg? Fried?
We're talking poached eggs here, Webby, no fat involved. Doubt you've ever heard of them.  ;D

 ;D far cough

On a serious note I personally wouldn't do it. Let's say it acts the same as rad weld then it's going to clog the system. For proof of this the header tank in my mums car has a layer of shite in it after I put k seal in. Would never use it again and instead, repair the leak.  :y

I had a small leak in my car, about half a litre a week. Couldn't afford to lose the car until half term so I just topped it up every night. No dramas.  :)

I had the cleanest coolant in town.  :y

Exactly what I do with my current small leak. Top it up once a month.  Always got fresh coolant. JD  :y

for starters, put an uncooked egg in the header tank bring up to temp as you suggested, whilst your waiting the HBV kicks in and you now have half cooked egg heading it's way to the heater matrix rad, what doesn't get stuck in there will end up probably cooked on its way to your front rads.

I wouldn't even think about putting Radwel in my Omega let alone a raw egg.

Likewise !!
Thats the idea, it goes round the whole system and when it finds a hole to get out of it will get pushed into it by the pressure if the water and stick to it the heat of the water then cooks it hard and seals the leak. I have had good success with this and no smells of any sort.
I wouldn't use Radweld either, eggs are cheaper than a cheap thing.  :y

I know  how it works, and 40 years ago I would have probably agreed with you, but with modern high temp closed coolent systems its just asking for trouble.

Ahh no worries eh, just a wee suggestion to help a fellow enthusiast.
What works for some etc, this trick has never failed me.   :y
No-one has still said why it isn't a good move or said what damage it'll cause.

No one would tell you why it wasn't a good idea to stick your dick in a mincer. If you don't know, you don't know.  ;D

I'm not knowledgable enough to explain it to you, but I know someone who is. He'll probably pick up on this sometime next week. Get you tin hat out.  ;D

Actually you do have an oil cooler... sits between the filter and the block and has two coolant pipes connected to it... ::)

I would probably stick to cooking :-*

Fair enough. I thought the one mentioned before was to do with the auto gearboxes.
Everyday is a school day.  ;D
