My hetaed rear seats have suddenly started acting funny. Earlier today i noticed the left rear seat switch was on. Try to switch it of but it stayed on. However the right rear seat turned on and off with left button. The yellow light in the right button went on and off by pushing the left button. Now the left button does not go on at all, but it still switches the right button on and off. My brother also noticed once he was sitting back there that the rear heated seats turned themselves on and off to the beat off the tailgate wiper! Thinking earth failure somwhere maybe?
Also what is the control box in front of the rear seat switches for?

If the wires to the control box as a yellow sheaf on them its the control box for the airbags (airbag ecu)

that was what i suspected. Probably best not to mess with that then...
Looks like i've solved the heated seat problem, but got a new one. There's a bigg pool of water and ice under the backseat, and one of the seat connectors where submerged and corroded. Will clean it and wrap it in plastic for now. Will hopefully fix the problem. Must now try to figure out where the water comes in:(

Seems there is a well known route for water to get in at the front but only appear at the back:

May not apply in your case but just a thought.

dont think that is the case here. The water is directly under the rear seat. well above the floor. Suspect rusted through rear wheelhouse.
