Part number for the rubber coil pack boots.
« on: 22 April 2013, 20:34:01 »

It must be the time of year for coil pack problems, judging by how many we've seen lately.
So the 246 coil pack is showing a misfire and on exploring has one or two of the rubber boots looking well past their best.
Does anyone have the part no. for the replacement rubber boot kit? I seem to remember it's for the desmond but will work on a 3.2.

That  kit is only for the 2.2 engine and will not fit the 3.2 coil packs. For 3.2/2.6 you will need to buy the coil pack itself

Are you sure Andy as I seem to recall they do fit the 2.6/3.2 packs (although not cross referenced on the parts system as doing so).

I know 'man father' used to supply them for such purposes and had them in his 'black book' of useful to know part numbers.

They may do but can only go by EPC unless someone else can confirm 100%. Don't want to sell some one a boot set only to find it doesn't fit

If its only the rubber boot I should have two used ones from the 2.6 if that would help?
I know no 2 is fubar, but the other two may be ok?
I had planned on keeping them as spares, but if you need them ......  :y

Thanks for the offer Jonny but I've just remembered that £40 masterfit voucher so it looks like I'll be getting some new ones from VX.
