On-going problem, driving me mad, everything else brilliant.
First start from cold, will turn over, second start 'fires', all ok.
When switched off for a few minutes, starts first time.
Please help  :'( :'( ;)
Left for over 15 minutes only starts on the second turn of the key !!

Front discs pads are 'dead easy' after the work you have done.
Good luck.

Omega General Help / Re: HBV leak
« on: 20 April 2010, 18:42:03 »
Just fitted HBV part no V0090566947, it has two tubes on one side and one tube on the other, plus the vacuum tube on top.
It was the same on the diesel I had some years ago.
good luck

Yes, for the price of GM plugs it's worth a go, make sure No 6 is replaced, not to bad as a DIY job

Omega General Help / Re: Autobox Oil Change (Sealed for life!?)
« on: 08 April 2010, 18:29:26 »
New Dexron 3 and filter clean at 70k or 7 years as a minimum.
No such thing as a 'sealed for life auto gearbox' with GM or Ford.

Omega General Help / Re: reprogramming the key for rcl???
« on: 08 April 2010, 17:45:28 »
Sent both my Omega keys to Martin over the passed month, briliant sevice, "send to receive 3 days".
Both had intermittent 'central locking' problems, all sorted.

P.S. Martin do you repair any make of key ?

Omega General Help / Re: Strange Starting Problem !!!
« on: 07 April 2010, 21:38:54 »
Hi Lee, from sensor up around the oil filter and away from the exhaust to the 'power steering fluid bottle', cable tied the cable away from 'heat' and 'air-con' tube-cold.
Is this the correct way, am I missing something, any help, thanks.

Omega General Help / Re: Strange Starting Problem !!!

Gents I would agree, changed two, first at 117k in May 2007 then again at 158k July 2009, both from Vauxhall dealer, maybe due for another !
You may be correct but this fault feels different.
The problem gets worse the longer the engine is left not running, could it be heat related ??  !!
320 mile today, never missed a beat.

Changed at the same time the problem started 2rd Jan 2010 at 170k, same time as 6 new NKG Irdium plugs, new cam belt set, aux belt, new aux pulley, fuel filter. Since then new HT leads, 2 oil & filter changes, pollen and air filters.
Now 179k and new MOT last week, yes 9k in 3 months so must be something 'simple' - !! please  ;)

Omega General Help / Strange Starting Problem !!!
« on: 06 April 2010, 18:04:33 »
So today Lee (Welung666) connected his 'box of tricks' to my 2.5 petrol Omega and---- nothing, no stored codes, no running problems, all normal.
Very grateful to Lee for his time and trouble (I will buy you that pint, or two).
So the problem continues, anything other than a hot engine requires a second turn of the key to start, any ideas please.

Omega General Help / Re: oil loss
« on: 05 April 2010, 18:04:00 »
Check the oil level with in 5 minutes after switch off,
the level should always be at max, if not on motorways where there are up inclines the oil moves back away from the sump sensor, 'low oil' message.

"As above", I spent over £150 during 8 months with local 'tyre' garages to sort out a steering problem,
one trip to Tony at WIM and all things sorted.
Worth a phone call and the trip.
