Thanks, Ok, at the same time as the 'cam belt' was replaced, plenium was moved to replace the spark plugs, plus the throttle & cruise control cables were disconnected,

Omega General Help / Strange Starting Problem
« on: 04 March 2010, 18:08:41 »
This is thrown open to the 'forum'.
In an effort to sort my V6 starting problem two 'well respected' OOF member suggested I 'floor the throttle' (cutting of the injectors) then turn the key and allow the engine to turn over for a few seconds.
Attempted this six times, every time the engine "fires" and would of reved it's boll---- off.
Question: Is this itself a fault, maybe an insight into the 'starting problem' ???
Please help, it's driving me mad, engine never been run smoother.  :-/

Had the same problem with that side of the rad ie above the 'red drain tap' but also between the two 'temp sensors'.
Nothing worked in sealing it, replaced with a second-hand rad from a 'tmx' a OOF member, ok after 20k.
Ask in the parts 'section' someone will help.

The 'fuel filter' is located under the fuel tank, offside rear, you need special 'pilers' to release the fuel pipe clips.
First place to start as owners don't tend to have them replaced (should be 40k/4years)
good luck

Just been over to see Lee (welung666) to get two 'bonnet stays' which he also fitted, good deal, no more broom stay.
I think Lee may of solved the 'starting problem' which has bugged the omega since the 'cam belt was changed.
Question now, what should be used to 'really' clean the 'air intake temp sensor', as a finger clean has made a difference.
Many thanks Lee
