CDC 2 Problem

Takes the cd cassette makes a 'click-click-click' sound then 'dead', head unit (CCR800) shows CD-ER, spoke to 'Dave DCD' who suggested a number of actions which proved the head unit was ok(many thanks Dave), just wondered if anyone a) have had a similar problem - and fixed it, or b) has a unit going spare, Vauxhall no - 90 493 268, Blaupunkt no - 7 607 776 320, must be the same numbers.

Sounds like knackered laser tbh.  These units seem to prematurely fail if used with CDRs

No, its definately a mech failure / FUBAR !   :'(
