I've had numerous MOT's where the number plate light has failed from me checking it before travelling to the MOT station and the car going on the ramp... I'm sure those bulbs know!

Had a stop light fail from checking it on the MOT and driving it out of the bay!!
Made some sill sections for the Austin yesterday, that was fun as it has a narrow recess for door to fit against that took some working out. Too tight to fit in the bender so ended up using a 2ins x 4mm flat steel in the vice and forming the bends with a cross peen hammer . Well chuffed as it came out spot on , my panel beating skills are improving!!

Indeed, it is one of the rules of sods law that a lamp/bulb will fail or something else after you checked,
along with ...... that lamp or bulb being the only one you don't have a spare of in the box of 500  :P
Also, if you do have a spare of something ,the original NEVER fails  :D

Bloody French contraption again.  >:(
Since replacing the turbo I used it for work a few times but there was always a small pool of oil under the front in the morning.
I assumed the oil feed or return for the turbo must be the cause as they were the only oil related things disturbed during replacing the turbo.
Got it up on the ramps today and both of those were dry as a bone.
The o/s of the engine though (the front effectively, where the cambelt etc is) was covered in oil. Took a few parts off to try and have a look down the half inch gap between engine and inner wing, and I suspect the crank oil seal has stopped doing its job.
Cambelt is covered in oil, but thats due replacement anyway.
Im not a believer in coincidences, but I cant think why replacing the turbo would cause the crank oil seal to give up.  ??? :-\
Could really do without it at the moment as my time and car funds should be spent on the little jobs that need doing on the Boxster, so I can get it on the road at the start of next month.  :(

Check the breather system for blockages as this can cause oil to piss out anywhere it can,it can also bugger the seals in the turbo ::)

New bonnet struts fitted on the Range Rover only took a couple of minutes, anyone on here got a Jag or Land Rover I can recommend Powerful UK for obtaining parts, very quick trackable delivery.

Spent the last three days fitting all the bits I collected last week, along with all the aircon seals (again, but genuine this time).

Now it is almost certainly the only W220 S280 in the world with Bi Xenons, headlight washers, heated washer fluid bottle and parking sensors. Which is nice 8)

Just got to get it coded so that it knows what's fitted, and the aircon regassed. Again.

Took it in for a service (warranty requirement so I had to) and they've kidnapped it.  ::)  To be more precise, the massive spring on the garage roller door snapped and because it's heavily weighted they can't lift it manually, so my car is stuck inside.   ;D
Hey ho, they have loaned me a free courtesy car until they can get mine back out so no drama really. Shit happens so it's not their fault.  :)
