Electoral Register - Search Charges

Trying to find friends and family from years back.

I used 192 in 2010 and paid for the basic service and got a few searches free. :y

Just checked the cost and its not changed much but no freebies being offered at the moment. :-\

Googled for other options and some offering free searches - but not free at all.

Dont mind paying but not silly money.  Any suggestions.  (Must include Scotland as I have  possibly still got relatives up there)

I thought Facepage (or whatever its called) is supposedly one place to find friends / family from years ago. Maybe enlist the help of a youngster to give you some pointers...! :y

It probably is the place, but some of the people I am looking for maybe not even on the net.

Plus have lost a lot of family over the years it wont be easy to find.

I would have tried one of these family tree or family finder type progs but cant be bothered.

I have old address info for some family and friends hence the Electoral Reg being my fav option as it sometimes shows a list of people that have lived at some addresses.  Plodding on, something to do. :y
